Emirates Reveals Special A380 Livery to Spotlight Humanitarian Efforts of Emirates Airline Foundation

Emirates has launched a new A380 livery that shines a spotlight on the Emirates Airline Foundation’s impactful humanitarian work. This vibrant design is set to enhance awareness of the Foundation’s mission to improve the lives of children worldwide.

The A380 livery features playful elements from the Emirates Airline Foundation’s logo, with pastel stars in light green, warm orange, baby blue, and soft pink adorning the fuselage. The bold message “Help to support children in need” underscores the Foundation’s dedication to transforming the lives of disadvantaged children. The engine cowls are painted in warm orange, symbolizing a hopeful future for the children supported by the Foundation.

This new livery marks a significant step in spreading the Foundation’s message, with the aircraft making its debut flight to Johannesburg, South Africa, where the Foundation supports key projects.

About the Emirates Airline Foundation

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman & Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group, the Emirates Airline Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on providing humanitarian aid and essential services for children. Its mission is to create meaningful and sustainable impacts in communities worldwide.

Over the past two decades, the Foundation has supported over 50 projects in partnership with community-based organizations and NGOs. These initiatives aim to address critical needs such as safe housing, food, medical care, and education, regardless of geographic or political boundaries. Contributions from Emirates customers, donors, and employees make these projects possible.

Current Projects and Impact

The Foundation supports 14 NGOs across nine countries:

  • Kenya: The Little Prince Nursery and Primary School, Alfajiri Street Kids, and Starehe Boys’ Centre.
  • South Africa and Zimbabwe: Fikelela Children’s Centre, Singakwenza, and St Marcellin’s Children’s Village.
  • Brazil: Saint Rita de Cassia Orphanage and Externato Sao Francisco de Assis.
  • Dubai: SAFE Centre for Autism.

These projects include providing education and rehabilitation for children, supporting early childhood education, and delivering medical care to those in need. Notably, the Foundation has also helped fund the Emirates Friendship Hospital in Bangladesh, providing healthcare to over 650,000 people.

In addition, the Foundation has issued over 500 flight tickets for volunteers on medical, engineering, and education missions globally. These missions have included surgeries, dental care, and intensive training in various fields.
