As excitement builds for the upcoming POP TOY SHOW (PTS) in Singapore, fans of collectible art toys have even more to look forward to. POP MART is bringing something truly special to the table: the Molly Anniversary Statues POP-Up Store. This exclusive event, running from August 27 to September 22, 2024, at Bugis Junction Level 1 Malay Street, promises to be a delightful trip down memory lane for fans of the beloved Molly character.
Since her debut in 2006, Molly, created by artist Kenny Wong, has captured the hearts of fans worldwide. With her signature blue eyes, pouty mouth, and painter’s hat, Molly represents creativity and individuality. Her ever-changing looks and whimsical charm have made her a cornerstone in the world of collectible art toys, and this pop-up store is set to celebrate everything Molly stands for.
This first-of-its-kind Molly Anniversary Statues-themed pop-up store will immerse you in the nostalgic world of Molly, featuring a display inspired by the Classical Retro Series 2. Expect exclusive items, including five new Molly merchandise pieces like scented candle blind boxes and fridge magnets, available only at this event. Additionally, the store will offer eight exclusive items, including a must-have reproduced limited edition 1st Anniversary statue. With any minimum purchase, you’ll receive Singapore-exclusive Molly-themed gifts like folders, fans, postcards, and tote bags.
You’ll also have the chance to explore a display of archival Molly figures, showcasing the evolution of this iconic character from her first appearance to other milestone series like Molly Zodiac.
The pop-up store will feature three life-sized Molly sculptures—two at 1.8 meters and one at 1.6 meters—perfect for photo ops. Plus, interactive fringe activities like silk-screening sessions with Singapore-inspired designs and Molly Fun Stamping with free stamps will add an extra layer of fun to your visit.
Just days before the Molly Anniversary POP-Up Store opens, POP TOY SHOW 2024 will take place from August 23 to 25 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Following the success of last year’s event, this year’s show promises an even bigger celebration of creativity and collectible art.
This year, POP TOY SHOW will welcome back fan favorites like Agee & Yep, the creators of Hacipupu, alongside new artists such as BAO, the mind behind Kubo, and Dan, the creator of Zsiga. Rising stars Hanna Li and Da Xin will also make their Singapore debut, presenting their characters Chaka and Twinkle Twinkle, respectively.
Internationally renowned artists like Luke Chueh, Louis De Guzman, and Simone Legno will showcase their latest works and engage with fans. The event will also feature the unveiling of a show-stopping piece, the MEGA SPACE MOLLY 400% Royal Selangor, with only 500 pieces available worldwide. Ten lucky fans will get the chance to pre-order this masterpiece through a raffle draw at the event.
PTS 2024 will also debut exclusive collections and first-launch items, including the KUBO Never Say Goodbye Figure and the MOLLY The Rhythm of Kung Fu Wing Chun Figure. Molly fans can also look forward to a new product line inspired by traditional Chinese culture, marking a significant addition to Molly’s ever-expanding universe.
With over 50 artists, toy designers, and international brands, PTS 2024 is more than just an exhibition; it’s a vibrant celebration of creativity and community. Attendees can enjoy meet-and-greet sessions, live drawing events, and a stunning array of collectible art toys. Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster and Pop Toy Show website with options ranging from 1-Day to Premium 3-Day passes.
