ION Orchard Introduces Electric Vehicle Charging Services in Sustainability Push

ION Orchard is driving towards a more sustainable future with the introduction of electric vehicle (EV) charging services, aligning with the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and the city-state’s growing adoption of EVs. In partnership with Wilson Parking, ION Orchard now offers convenient charging options for EV drivers, making green commuting even more accessible to shoppers.

Starting August 15, EV drivers can park and charge their vehicles at four newly designated parking lots equipped with EV chargers on Level 7 of the ION Orchard carpark. To cater to different charging needs, both Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC) charging options are available. The carpark features one DC 100kW charger with two charging points and two AC 22kW chargers, ensuring a reliable service for all users.

The cost for charging is competitively priced:

  • AC Charger: $0.65 per kWh (inclusive of GST)
  • DC Charger: $0.71 per kWh (inclusive of GST)

These rates are subject to change, with the latest prices available on the FastParkNCharge mobile application.

To mark the launch of the new EV chargers, ION Orchard is offering a special 10 percent discount to users from August 15 to September 15, 2024.

The FastParkNCharge app, approved by the Land Transport Authority and certified under the Electric Vehicle Common Charger Grant (ECCG), provides a seamless charging experience. With features like real-time charging updates and personalized notifications, shoppers can enjoy peace of mind while their vehicles charge efficiently as they explore ION Orchard.
