HyperDrive 2024: Asia’s First ‘Game of Karts’ Takes Racing to the Next Level

HyperDrive 2024 returns with its second edition of Levelled-Up Racing, running from August 17 to September 15, 2024. This year, the event takes excitement to new heights by introducing Asia’s first-ever ‘Game of Karts’ experience, part of the Grand Prix Season Singapore (GPSS). Participants will have the chance to compete for incredible prizes, including a Red Bull Racing Garage Tour, official racing merchandise, and The Palawan @ Sentosa vouchers.

Levelled-Up Racing: The Ultimate Go-Kart Battle

Held on HyperDrive’s thrilling three-level track, Levelled-Up Racing is an annual event that brings speed enthusiasts and competitive racers together. The track features intense straightaways and 14 hair-raising turns, providing an action-packed driving experience. This year’s event builds on last year’s e-karting format with the introduction of the ‘Game of Karts’—a gamified karting experience where real-life racing meets the excitement of gaming.

Enter the Game of Karts

Launched in January 2024, ‘Game of Karts’ transforms traditional karting into a strategic race where speed isn’t the only factor. Participants will collect special powers on the track, allowing them to sabotage opponents or boost their own speed to the finish line. The experience is enhanced with immersive sound and lighting effects, making it feel like you’re inside a video game. Racers will navigate through projected lasers on the track to collect weapons and bonuses, such as the Missile—a homing missile targeting the racer in front—and Boost—a temporary speed increase to outpace competitors.

In partnership with Red Bull Energy Drink, HyperDrive is offering a grand prize that’s every racing fan’s dream. The champion of Levelled-Up Racing at HyperDrive will win an exclusive tour of the Red Bull Racing Garage during race weekend, entry to the Red Bull Energy Station, and official Red Bull Racing merchandise. The top eight fastest lap times during the qualifying period will earn a spot in the finals on September 18, 2024, where they’ll compete for these amazing prizes.

How to Participate

• Eligibility: Must be 18 years or older and at least 140cm tall to drive senior karts at 30km/h.
• Participation: Purchase the Levelled-Up Racing: Game of Karts x Red Bull Bundle and complete a registration form at the HyperDrive registration counter.
• Qualifying Period: August 17 to September 15, 2024, until 9 pm.
