CALI Unveils ‘Culinary World Tour’ Menu at Its Largest and Newest Outlet, CALI @ Novotel Singapore on Kitchener

First established in 2012, CALI, an F&B brand operated by NJ Group, with four strategically located restaurants inside premier hotels in Singapore, including Novotel, Ascott, and Park Avenue.

CALI @ Novotel Singapore on Kitchener

This month, they introduced a new ‘Culinary World Tour’ menu at their largest and newest outlet, CALI @ Novotel Singapore on Kitchener. The expansive new menu promises to take diners on a gastronomic journey across seven distinct cuisines, all within one seating.

Showcasing a diverse range of culinary delights, ranging from the bold flavours of the Caribbean to the rich spices of Mexican cuisine to Mughlai, French, and international favourites including American, Chinese, and Asian dishes, you can mix and cross different world cuisine for a unique culinary adventure around the world in one seating.

We were invited for a dinner tasting and these were the items we sampled from the menu, featuring an eclectic mix of Mexican, American, European, Indian and Chinese dishes:

Mexico: Wagyu Petite Tender Fajita Medley ($34) – Premium Wagyu beef, seasoned and seared on sizzling cast-iron skillet atop a bed of sauteed bell peppers and onions. Served with warm tortillas, salsa, guacamole and sour cream.
Cantonese: Typhoon Shelter Harbour ($48) – Succulent lobster in a blend of curry leaves, Chinese spices and garlic, topped with golden bread crumbs, evoking sheltered harbours amidst stormy seas.
Amercia: Wagyu Masterpiece Burger ($32) – Juicy beef patty adorned with premium toppings like aged cheddar, caramelised onions, gherkins, tomatoes and crisp lettuce, served with a side of golden fries and fresh salad.
European: European-Caribbean Fruit Fusion Dessert Platter ($18) – Spiced Banana Cake, Macadamia Fudge Brownie,
Fresh Fruits and Two Scoops of Vanilla Ice-cream
India: Exotic Kulfi Duo with Fresh Fruit Medley ($14) – Two Flavours of Kulfi (India-style ice cream) and Fresh Fruits

When we saw the dishes spread across the dining table, it did look like a very fun meal to tuck into, with cuisines from around the world that you usually will not find served in the same restaurant.

The food quality is decent for their mid-range pricing. Maybe because it is new, there were not that many other diners at the restaurant when we visited on a weekday night. It will probably pick up and get busier, judging from the success of the other CALI restaurants. Located at 181 Kitchener Road, near Farrer Park MRT station, CALI @ Novotel Singapore on Kitchener stands as the brand’s sixth and largest restaurant.

CALI’s new outlet is now open daily from 7 am to 10 pm, with the Culinary World Tour menu available from 11 am onwards. For reservations or more information, visit the official CALI website.
