Celebrate Love and Reunion this Mid-Autumn Festival with Old Seng Choong Mooncakes

As the full moon casts a soft glow over neighborhoods, the Mid-Autumn Festival brings families and friends together in joyous celebration on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar calendar. In Singapore, the festivities are marked by colorful lanterns, candles, and sparklers illuminating the night.

Old Seng Choong, a proud Singaporean brand, is dedicated to honoring traditional festivities and cultural heritage. Mooncakes, a symbol of tradition and unity, play a central role in these celebrations. Historically, the Mid-Autumn Festival, or 中秋节 (Zhōngqiū Jié) in Mandarin, was a time to celebrate the end of the autumn harvest. Today, it has evolved into an annual event for joyful reunions, where cherished moments are shared over mooncakes and hot, aromatic tea.

This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival falls on September 17, and the countdown has begun. Old Seng Choong has crafted distinctive mooncake flavors to elevate the celebration, including Nori Wasabi, Bird’s Nest with Red Date Goji, and Black Sesame Yolk with Olive Kernel. Classic favorites such as White Lotus Paste with Yolk Blend, Black Truffle Bak Kwa, and Liu Ren (Mixed Nuts with Olive Kernel) are also available.

For durian enthusiasts, the Mao Shan Wang Durian snow skin mooncake is a must-try, overflowing with luscious 100% Mao Shan Wang durian.

Old Seng Choong’s mooncakes are meticulously presented in an elegant set of six, encased in a sophisticated three-tiered box available in three vibrant colors. Adorned with peony flowers and crane birds symbolizing well wishes and blessings, the versatile mooncake box serves as both a vanity case and a stylish storage display piece. Perfect for gifting, each set also includes a lovable limited edition Old Seng Choong Lunar Bear.

From now until August 30, 2024, Old Seng Choong is offering an early bird promotion with a 20% discount on pre-orders of mooncake boxes (terms and conditions apply). Collection of mooncakes will commence from August 5, 2024.
