Vietjet Celebrates 200 Millionth Passenger and Announces Da Nang – Ahmedabad Route

Vietjet has marked a remarkable milestone, celebrating its 200 millionth passenger in its ongoing mission to connect Vietnam with the world. The lucky 200th passenger, Sandeep Mehta, an Indian businessman, was honored with a complimentary one-year pass for unlimited international flights with Vietjet.

Coinciding with this celebration, Vietjet announced the launch of a new route linking Ahmedabad, a major city in western India, with Vietnam’s famous coastal city, Da Nang. This new route is set to commence operations in October 2024. The announcement was made at the Vietnam-India Business Forum in New Delhi, India, attended by Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, alongside leaders and business representatives from both countries.

To celebrate this milestone, Vietjet is offering a week-long promotion from August 2 to August 8, 2024 (GMT+7). During this period, two million tickets will be available for as low as USD0 (excluding taxes and fees) across Vietjet’s entire domestic and international flight network. These promotional tickets can be booked online or via the Vietjet Air mobile app, for travel between September 4, 2024, and May 22, 2025 (excluding national holidays).

Vietjet invites passengers to experience its modern aircraft, served by a professional, friendly, and dedicated cabin crew. Travelers can savor a variety of Vietnamese, Indian, and global cuisines, including Vietnamese Banh Mi, Pho, and Basmati curry rice, along with many other hot, healthy, and delicious dishes. Additionally, Vietjet provides all passengers with free SkyCare insurance and the opportunity to earn rewards and win daily through the Vietjet SkyJoy loyalty program.

Since pioneering direct flights between Vietnam and India in 2019, Vietjet has become a key player in facilitating convenient and affordable travel between the two countries. Currently, Vietjet operates seven routes with 56 weekly flights, connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with major Indian cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Kochi, as well as popular destinations like Bodh Gaya and Varanasi. To date, Vietjet has transported nearly 1.3 million passengers between Vietnam and India.
