Ombak Festival Announces Star-Studded Lineup, Festival Day Passes, and Exclusive Events

Desaru Coast, the award-winning destination resort, is gearing up for the Ombak Festival, set to take place from September 13-15, 2024. This highly anticipated event, billed as “The Ultimate Weekend,” promises an unforgettable experience with a stellar lineup, new Festival Day Passes, and Exclusive Ticketed Events.

Headline Acts and Exciting Additions

Ombak Festival is thrilled to announce the addition of six-time Grammy Award winner Nile Rodgers & CHIC, along with the renowned British DJ and producer Quantic, to its lineup. The festivities kick off on September 13 at Ember Beach Club, One&Only Desaru Coast, with a performance by Quantic. The excitement continues on September 14 with Swedish band The Cardigans and pop culture icon Grace Jones headlining the Ombak Main Stage. The weekend culminates on September 15 with Macy Gray, celebrating the 25th anniversary of her debut album, and a show-stopping performance by Nile Rodgers & CHIC.

The lineup also features rapper Joe Flizzow and R&B artist Alextbh on the Ombak Main Stage. The Sessions Live Stage at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast will host performances by Zainal Abidin, Matilde G, Adrian G, and Sweet Nightmare. Beyond music, festival-goers can enjoy visual arts, crafts, F&B offerings, and Ombak Kids activities.

Exclusive Ticketed Events

For those seeking a more intimate experience, Ombak Festival offers Exclusive Ticketed Events available on a first-come, first-served basis for Stay Package guests. Highlights include the Ombak Supper Club with The Stars by Yellow Fin Horse on September 13, featuring a curated menu by Chef Jun Wong for 90 lucky guests. One&Only Desaru Coast will host All Q’ued Up by Quantic and Ember Beach Club Brunch by Chef Andrew Walsh, offering a gourmet barbecue experience with Southeast Asian sounds by DJs Maft Sai and Mellow Goeslaw.

Ombak Festival has launched Festival Day Passes, priced at RM550+ for a 1-Day Pass and RM990+ for a 2-Day Pass. These passes grant access to the Ombak Main Stage and the vibrant retail and F&B areas within the Festival Village on September 14 and/or 15. Passes can be purchased from Ticketmelon or SISTIC.

Travel and Accommodation

To accommodate day trippers from Singapore, additional ferry services will run between Singapore’s Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal, with tickets available from BatamFast. Chartered bus services will operate between Queen Street, Singapore, and Desaru Coast on September 14 and 15, with tickets available from CausewayLink. Free shuttle services will also be provided between R&F Mall, Johor Bahru, and Desaru Coast on these dates.
