Capella Hotels and Resorts to Elevate Southern Taiwan with Capella Kenting: Ultra-Luxury Resort with Personal Hot Springs in Every Villa

Capella Hotels and Resorts has announced its first resort in Southern Taiwan, marking its second property in Taiwan. Slated to open in 2028, Capella Kenting is set to be a landmark destination, enhancing the region’s appeal on the global tourism map.

A Visionary Partnership and Destination

The collaboration between Capella Group and Riant Capital Limited stems from a shared vision and the recognition of Kenting’s untapped potential. CNN’s listing of Kenting as one of Asia’s top ten underrated tourist destinations highlights the region’s rich tourism resources, making it a prime location for Capella’s newest venture.

A Sanctuary of Exclusivity

Situated on 99,000 square meters along the western coastline of Taiwan’s Hengchun Peninsula in Pingtung, Capella Kenting is designed by acclaimed Italian architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel of ACPV ARCHITECTS. Drawing inspiration from Pingtung’s indigenous architecture and the natural environment of the Hengchun Peninsula, the design incorporates local elements like low stone walls, commonly found in the region’s tribal houses. The resort’s 65 exclusive villas will offer unparalleled privacy and tranquility, with each villa featuring spacious accommodations starting at 197 square meters, private swimming pools, hot spring facilities, and stunning 180-degree sea views.

Journey to Wellbeing

Central to the Capella Kenting experience is the Capella Wellness program, which combines traditional southern Taiwanese wellness practices with Capella’s signature lunar phase-specific therapies. This unique blend aims to provide guests with a deeply immersive and restorative experience, further enhanced by Kenting’s serene atmosphere.

Culinary Delights from Land and Sea

Capella Kenting promises an extraordinary culinary journey, with a focus on locally harvested ingredients presented through a distinctive farm-to-table concept. The resort’s gastronomic offerings will highlight sustainability and creativity, making every meal a celebration of flavor and artistry that nourishes both the palate and the soul.

Cultural Immersions

At the heart of Capella Kenting is The Living Room, where Capella Culturists will curate meaningful experiences for guests. These Capella Curates experiences will offer profound insights into the local culture, history, and environment, allowing guests to engage deeply with the rich tapestry of Kenting. From traditional practices to meaningful explorations, visitors can expect a cultural engagement that they will cherish forever.
