[Limited Time Menu] Lobster Galore at Eden Restaurant – Indulge in Fresh Maine Lobster with a Modern Asian Twist

For June and July, Pullman Singapore Orchard is showcasing a limited time Live Lobster menu at Eden Restaurant. Available for a limited two-month period, from 1 June to 31 July 2024, this culinary showcase features the finest MSC-certified Live Maine Lobster, each elevated through Eden Restaurant’s modern Asian lens.

For seafood and lobster lovers, Eden Restaurant’s curated lobster tasting menu will offer a journey through exquisite lobster dishes paired with fine wines, or creative pairings with signature cocktails and craft beers, handpicked to complement the rich flavours of fresh lobsters.

There are three styles of lobster dishes to choose from in this exclusive menu – Singapore Style Chilli Lobster Linguini; Boston Lobster with Furikake Butter & Garlic Egg Fried Rice; and Shaoxing Wine Boston Lobster, Lala & Mussel Pot.

We savoured all three during a dinner tasting and would have to admit that it would be hard to pick a favourite among the three as they were all so good, each presenting a distinct flavour profile.

Singapore Style Chilli Lobster Linguini

Singapore Style Chili Crab Linguine ($78, whole lobster)

A modern twist on the iconic Singapore Chilli Crab, this dish features succulent Boston Lobster immersed in Eden Restaurant’s house-made signature chilli crab sauce and served over al dente linguine.

The blend of spice and sweetness is topped with a sous-vide egg, adding a rich, creamy texture to balance the robust flavours of the sauce.

We would recommend this for those who like spicy seafood and a dish that presents Singaporean flavours.

Prices are $48++ for half a lobster and $78++ for a whole lobster.

Teppanyaki Boston Lobster with Furikake Butter & Garlic Egg Fried Rice

Teppanyaki Boston Lobster with Furikake Butter & Garlic Egg Fried Rice ($78, whole lobster)

If you prefer your seafood grilled, opt for this dish. Immerse in the art of teppanyaki with expertly grilled lobster on an iron griddle, imparting a delightful smoky aroma.

Paired with Eden Restaurant’s homemade Furikake Butter, inspired by the rich flavours of Japanese cuisine, this dish adds a rich umami flavour.

This lobster is served deshelled and packed back into the lobster shells for presentation, accompanied with garlic egg fried rice.

We think kids would love it for its smoky, sweet flavours and also because it is easy to eat.

Prices are $48++ for half a lobster and $78++ for a whole lobster.

Shaoxing Wine Boston Lobster, Lala & Mussel Pot

Shaoxing Wine Boston Lobster, Lala & Mussel Pot ($168, two lobsters)

Crafted for sharing, this dish features MSC-certified Boston lobster delicately infused with Chinese rice wine, Asian herbs, garlic, and a hint of citrus, creating an aromatic depth that complements the natural sweetness of the lobster and the seafood pot.

It is served with freshly grilled sourdough for dipping into the flavourful sauce, alongside a fresh kale salad and house fries.

If we are forced to pick a favourite, this would be it. We were full after eating all the delectable lobsters, but the combination of the sourdough bread dipped into the wine sauce was too delicious to resist. We ended up finishing every single piece of the bread, and mopping the plate clean.

Prices are $128++ for one lobster and $168++ for two lobsters.

Overall verdict for all three dishes?

Casting the freshness of the lobsters aside, we were impressed by how all three modern Asian fusion dishes come together nicely with a delicate balance of both the East and West. Elevated fusion dishes are always a big risk, but this lobster showcase from Eden brought out the best of both worlds, working with one of the choicest ingredients from the ocean.

We also appreciate the high level of service standard, from the attentive service of the wait staff to the thoughtfulness of the kitchen service. When I requested a seafood clamp to crack the lobster claws on my own, the chefs offered to deshell them for us instead, collecting back all the claws and bringing them back, nicely cracked for easy extraction.

We were able to easily extract all the claws whole like this

Resting on the fourth floor open garden and pool of the hotel, Eden Restaurants offers a serene and inviting atmosphere for a relaxed dining experience. The open kitchen and a verdant glasshouse add to the dynamism.

The exclusive Live Boston Lobster Bonanza menu is available daily for both lunch and dinner at Eden Restaurant from now till the end of July. Don’t miss it!
