“A Lovely Night with Udit Narayan” to Light Up Star Theatre on 23 October 2024

Bollywood playback singer Udit Narayan, revered for his melodious voice and extensive contributions to the Indian music industry, will be performing live for the first time in Singapore at the Star Theatre on October 23, 2024. This highly anticipated concert, “A Lovely Night with Udit Narayan,” is set to be a landmark event for Bollywood music lovers in Southeast Asia.

Udit Narayan, the voice behind numerous Bollywood icons like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan, has an impressive repertoire of over 25,000 songs in more than 36 languages, including Tamil, Bengali, Telugu, and Kannada. His illustrious career spans over three decades, during which he has garnered 22.3 million listeners on Spotify and an array of prestigious awards.

Narayan’s journey to stardom began in the 1980s with the hit song “Papa Kehte Hain,” which won him his first Filmfare Award. His contributions to the soundtrack of “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak” propelled him to greater heights in Bollywood. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with legendary musicians like Anu Malik, Jatin Lalit, A. R. Rahman, Rajesh Roshan, and Shankar Mahadevan, and his voice has been a staple in films by acclaimed directors Yash Chopra, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Karan Johar.

Celebrated as the King of Melody, Udit Narayan has 21 tracks featured in the BBC’s Top 40 Bollywood Soundtracks of All Time. His debut song “Mil Gaya” from the 1980 film “Unees-Bees” marked the beginning of a storied career that has seen him win Filmfare Awards across three decades.
