Get Ready to Glow: Glow Festival by Prudential Presents 16 Days of Transformative and Holistic Experiences to Awaken Wellness this July

It’s time to breathe, stretch and sweat at this year’s Glow Festival by Prudential, the anchor event of the Singapore Tourism Board’s (STB) Wellness Festival Singapore (WFS). Happening at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza and Rain Oculus from 6 July to 21 July, the 16-day event is set to occupy a sprawling 1,900 square metres of event space and aims to host over 100,000 wellness and fitness enthusiasts.

Prudential Singapore is the Presenting Sponsor of the third edition of Glow Festival.

The event features 70 fitness and wellness workshops across six Wellness Zones, delicious festival fare, and a bazaar at Marina Bay Sands. Headlining the festival this year are lululemon global ambassadors, celebrity instructors, and inspirational runners taking the lead for lululemon’s weekend workouts, with specially curated masterclasses, workshops, and runs lined up across three weekends.

Martin Capstick, Founder, Glow Festival

“Founded on a mission to inspire festival-goers to live well, Glow Festival by Prudential aims to bring the community together to experience and celebrate all things wellness and maybe even adopt new practices to help them live healthier lives.” Shared Martin Capstick, Founder, Glow Festival.

This year’s highly event, themed Wellness Awakening, will also see lululemon and PURE as curation partners as it rolls out a comprehensive programme of over 70 workouts and wellness workshops. From serene sound therapies and immersive art experiences to invigorating exercises, the diverse range of activities caters to every aspect of well-being — mind, body, spirit, community, and soul – aiming to guide participants from all backgrounds to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and holistic rejuvenation.

As Presenting Sponsor of this year’s event, Prudential Singapore has also launched a six-week mentorship programme, Project Glow Up, for aspiring wellness professionals, where they are given the opportunity to be mentored by experts in the fitness, food and beverage, and retail industries.

“As a leading life insurer, Prudential is committed to helping people live well for longer. Through our sponsorship of Glow Festival, we want to encourage more people to participate in the Festival’s wellness and fitness activities that will enrich their physical and mental health. Our mentorship programme, Project Glow Up, takes this commitment further by offering aspiring individuals an opportunity to pursue a fulfilling career in the wellness industry.” Shared Mr Goh Theng Kiat, Prudential Singapore’s Chief Customer Officer.

Weekends with lululemon

Participants can kick-start their weekend exercise with lululemon’s inaugural Get Into Strides with lululemon, a 5-kilometre run around the scenic Marina Bay area happening at sunrise every weekend throughout the Festival. Each run will be led by different lululemon ambassadors in an exclusive session limited to just 70 participants each morning. Korean celebrity coach Min-kyu Park will be leading the run on 21 July.

At the early bird price of S$54 each, tickets to Get Into Strides with lululemon include exclusive access to warm-up and cool-down sessions at the Main Studio, and the use of Recovery Space – a specially curated recovery area focused on relaxing sore, tired muscles. Participants will also walk away with a limited edition lululemon x Glow Festival T-shirt, a commemorative medal, breakfast bites, and a slew of Wellness Bazaar vouchers in a swanky swag bag worth up to S$150.

Celebrity Instructors and Special Classes

Be thrilled at the event by the appearances of international celebrity fitness instructors Akin Akman, co-founder of AARMY, and Dr. Chelsea Jackson Roberts, an internationally acclaimed Peloton yoga teacher. These renowned lululemon ambassadors will be hosting their globally acclaimed classes at Glow Festival, offering participants the chance to join AARMY Bootcamp, AARMY Cycle, as well as Yoga and Chill and Soul Flow Yoga sessions.

Main Studio and Recovery Space

Set against the stunning backdrop of Marina Bay, the Main Studio is enhanced with a massive 4-metre by 7.5-metre high-definition LED screen wall, showcasing beautiful vistas from the natural world tailored to each workout session. Only available to ticket holders, this exclusive access allows participants to be transported from the cityscape’s hustle and bustle to the vibrant embrace of nature, setting the stage for their weekend escape, before embarking on their recovery journey in the exclusive Recovery Space, located adjacent to the Main Studio.

The Recovery Space sanctuary is thoughtfully designed to provide a comprehensive recovery session with refreshing ice baths, serene Almora Botanica Face Yoga Fitness Bar, and cutting-edge Therabody equipment, concentrated to provide deep tissue massage to specific muscle areas, improving range of motion and decreasing muscle soreness following an intense workout.

Zones of Wellness

Glow Festival features six zones, where fitness, mindfulness, nutrition, and holistic wellbeing converge. Of the six, four of them – The Oracle by Alpha Wave Experience, Virtual Reality sessions, Art Therapy, and The Bliss Room, are complimentary and open to all.

The Oracle by Alpha Wave Experience is a one-of-a-kind installation brought to Singapore for the first time and offered to attendees as one of the four complimentary activities at the Festival. A contemporary interpretation of the “Dreamachine” made popular by British-Canadian artist Brion Gysin, and created by the Paris and Lisbon collective, the installation harnesses the power of music, frequency, and light to ease participants into a meditative state. Known to relax and improve mental clarity in just 15 minutes, the installation provides a tranquil, immersive environment that encourages relaxation and introspection.

Virtual Reality (VR) interactive sessions are also available, where participants go through a variety of modality options for an out-of-the-world adrenaline-pumping five-minute workout. These sessions transport individuals to captivating virtual environments, offering a glimpse into different parts of the world and beyond; opening doors to limitless possibilities, encouraging exploration, creativity, and personal wellness in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

Focusing on the therapeutic benefits of creative therapy, Glow Festival has incorporated an Expressive Artmaking station, in collaboration with circular fashion enterprise Cloop and local artists, for attendees to spend some quiet time working on their individual art pieces using multi-coloured fabric strips, to co-create a communal tapestry piece of art. This family-friendly activity creates the perfect opportunity to unleash those creative juices while bonding over art.

The Bliss Room

Escape from the urban jungle and experience tranquillity at The Bliss Room, where attendees are transported into a beautiful, serene environment. A curated schedule of 10-minute short form sessions are offered throughout the day for anyone looking to experience and enjoy the transformative effects of breathwork, meditation, and sound healing.

Culinary Delights to Enthrall

No festival is complete without food and goodies. At the Wellness Bazaar by Guardian, visitors can bask in the vibrant atmosphere and explore a diverse array of vendors offering health and beauty products, artisanal crafts, and more. There is a dedicated area with four food trucks offering an array of healthy and nutritious cuisine options.

Expect delicious dishes and scrumptious menu items created exclusively for Glow by F&B partners such as local coffee brand, Wake The Crew and fine Italian by Mia Tavola.
