Emirates Airlines has once again proven its excellence by securing seven prestigious accolades at the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards. The event, held yesterday at Fairmont Windsor Park, London, celebrated the airline’s commitment to providing top-tier products and services across all classes. The awards included:
These accolades were based on votes from thousands of business and leisure travelers from over 100 countries. Graham Pepe, Emirates’ Corporate Sales Manager, UK, accepted the awards on behalf of the airline in a ceremony attended by key figures from the travel and aviation industry.
Emirates’ inflight entertainment system, ice, clinched the title of ‘World’s Best Airline Inflight Entertainment’ for the 18th time. With more than 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment in over 40 languages, passengers can enjoy a vast array of options including 4,000 hours of movies and TV shows, 3,500 hours of music and podcasts, 2,000 Hollywood and international movies, and 250 dedicated kids and family channels. The system also features the latest shows from Paramount+, HBO Max, Discovery+, BBC, Bloomberg Originals, and Shahid.
Emirates’ First-Class experience continues to set the industry standard, earning three awards: ‘Best First-Class Airline Comfort Amenities,’ ‘Best First-Class Airline in the Middle East,’ and ‘Best First-Class Onboard Catering in the Middle East.’ Passengers enjoy a seamless door-to-door travel experience with the Emirates chauffeur-drive service (CDS), access to over 39 premium airport lounges worldwide, and unparalleled onboard comfort. First-Class suites offer fully enclosed private spaces, a ‘dine on demand’ service featuring unlimited caviar and Dom Pérignon champagne, luxurious hydra-active pyjamas, Byredo skincare products, sustainable Voya shower amenities, and Bulgari amenity kits.
Emirates’ newly launched Premium Economy Class, which rivals the Business Class of many airlines, won ‘Best Premium Economy Class Airline in the Middle East’ and ‘Best Premium Economy Class Onboard Catering in the Middle East.’ The class features leather seats with a generous pitch of up to 40 inches, a 19.5-inch wide seat with an 8-inch recline, calf rests, footrests, a 6-way adjustable headrest, and accessible in-seat charging points. Passengers can enjoy sustainable blankets, a large pillow, complimentary amenity kits, and exclusive sparkling wine – Chandon Vintage Brut 2017. The onboard catering includes meals made with seasonal ingredients served on chinaware with stainless steel cutlery.
Emirates also won the ‘Most Family Friendly Airline in the Middle East’ award, thanks to its family-oriented services. These include priority boarding for families, dedicated and healthy inflight meals for children, extensive children’s entertainment on ice, and additional services for unaccompanied minors and families with neurodivergent children. Premium Economy Class is currently available on 15 routes including London Heathrow, Sydney, Melbourne, Christchurch, Auckland, Singapore, Los Angeles, New York, Houston, San Francisco, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Tokyo Narita, Sao Paulo, Osaka, and Dubai.
