Cathay Pacific has made a triumphant return to the top five airlines globally, securing the title of the World’s Best Economy Class Airline in the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards. The airline climbed three places from last year, achieving the fifth spot overall and earning additional accolades as the World’s Cleanest Airline.
This impressive recognition comes on the heels of Cathay Pacific being named the third best premium airline worldwide by AirlineRatings, rising six places from the previous year.
Cathay Pacific’s success is attributed to its continuous investment in product and service innovations, aimed at delivering a premium travel experience at every touchpoint—whether in the air, on the ground, or online. As part of its commitment to excellence, the airline is set to launch new seat products over the next three years, starting with the all-new Business class experience, Aria Suite, and a new Premium Economy seat. Later this year, a refreshed Economy class will debut on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Looking ahead, Cathay Pacific plans to introduce a world-leading First class experience on its new Boeing 777-9 aircraft in 2025, followed by a brand-new cabin featuring a new flat-bed Business class product on its Airbus A330 in 2026. These advancements will be complemented by ongoing enhancements to the airline’s lounges, dining options, inflight entertainment, and digital experiences.
In addition to these upgrades, Cathay Pacific will soon offer complimentary inflight Wi-Fi for Business class customers and Diamond members. Starting in July, the airline will also increase its cabin crew complement on selected flights to further enhance the delivery of its signature inflight service.
