X3D Studio has officially opened its doors as Southeast Asia’s largest virtual production studio. Located within a historic 40,000 sq ft former power station, the state-of-the-art facility in Singapore represents a significant milestone for the region’s media and entertainment industry.
Following an S$8 million refurbishment, X3D Studio now offers cutting-edge technology and advanced facilities that rival leading studios worldwide. The studio features versatile spaces suitable for a range of private events, aiming to become the premier venue for both film shoots and special occasions.
To celebrate its launch, X3D Studio will release two virtual production short films, “Trap” and “Dead End,” starring local celebrities Qi Yuwu, Oon Shu An, and Andrew Lua. These films, set to premiere on the studio’s website and YouTube channel, showcase the studio’s advanced capabilities and the limitless possibilities of virtual production.
X3D Studio is the first virtual production stage globally to be accredited by ARRI Solutions. This prestigious accreditation underscores the studio’s commitment to quality and innovation, leveraging ARRI’s expertise in image quality, studio design, and reliable workflows. The studio boasts ARRI’s state-of-the-art technology, including the ALEXA 35 camera, Signature Prime lenses, SkyPanel X, and more.

X3D Studio is dedicated to fostering local talent and advancing the virtual production industry in Singapore. In partnership with Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), the X3D Academy offers courses in virtual production, from introductory programs to advanced ICVFX techniques.
The studio’s virtual production capabilities extend beyond film and television to other industries such as real estate development and tourism. Virtual environments created with Unreal Engine provide dynamic, immersive experiences that enhance various forms of production, offering complete design freedom while reducing costs and environmental impact.
X3D Studio’s inaugural event, the “Now is Not the Time” immersive art exhibition, honored the legacy of Singapore’s founding father, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, as part of the LKY100 celebration in September 2023.
