The Lions Home For The Elders celebrated Parents’ Day week with a unique and heartfelt event: the Lions Home Fun(d) Drive, a car rally fundraiser aimed at bringing families, friends, and car enthusiasts together to support a worthy cause. Held at the iconic Singapore Flyer, the event saw participants engaging in exciting car challenges while also enjoying a variety of family bonding activities.
The fundraiser was organized to raise funds for over 300 elderly residents at the Lions Home’s two nursing homes located in Bishan and Bedok South. The event was a festive celebration featuring nostalgia-filled games, carnival booths with handcrafted goods, delicious snacks, and lively singing and dancing performances.
The public was invited to join in the fun, making it a perfect day out for families looking to spend quality time together. The atmosphere was filled with joy and camaraderie as participants and visitors alike engaged in the various activities.
Ms. Ng Ling Ling, Member of Parliament for Ang Mo Kio GRC (Jalan Kayu), attended the event as the Guest-of-Honour, adding a special touch to the celebration.
The Lions Home Fun(d) Drive successfully combined the thrill of a car rally with the warmth of family-oriented activities, all while supporting a noble cause.
