Vietjet celebrated its new nonstop service between Hanoi, Vietnam, and Melbourne, Australia. The flight landed today at Melbourne Airport and was greeted by the Hon. Natalie Hutchins, Member of the Victorian Parliament, along with other distinguished guests including Vietnamese Deputy Ambassador to Australia Nghiem Xuan Hoa, Melbourne International Airport Chief of Aviation Jim Parashos, Vietjet Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thanh Ha, and Vietjet Vice President Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh.
The new Hanoi-Melbourne route marks Vietjet’s sixth service connecting Vietnam and Australia. With two round trips every Tuesday and Saturday, the airline uses modern wide-body A330 aircraft to make travel between Hanoi and Melbourne more convenient. This expansion is part of Vietjet’s broader strategy to enhance its international flight network, providing more options and flexibility for travelers across Asia and Australia.
The introduction of this route is expected to stimulate investment and increase demand for tourism, education, family visits, and business opportunities in Victoria. This aligns with the state’s goal of returning to pre-pandemic tourism levels by 2025 and achieving a tourism revenue target of USD 53 billion with 111.8 million tourist arrivals by 2028.
Following the successful launch of the Hanoi-Melbourne service, Vietjet will introduce a new Hanoi-Sydney route on June 8, 2024. Currently, Vietjet operates 58 weekly flights connecting Vietnam and Australia.
To celebrate the launch, Vietjet is offering promotional Eco ticket prices starting from just USD 0 (excluding taxes and fees) for all routes between Vietnam and Australia until June 10, 2024. This promotion includes an additional 20kg of checked baggage and a hot meal. Availability varies based on route and travel dates.
Vietjet also offers a premium Business class experience, featuring an exclusive check-in line, priority lanes, business lounges, and up to 60kg of checked baggage plus a golf set. Passengers can enjoy a private cabin with 180-degree flatbed seats and a gourmet culinary experience. Business fares are currently available at a 50% discount (excluding taxes and fees) with the promo code SBJUNE50 until June 14.
All Vietjet passengers receive free SkyCare travel insurance and can earn points with the Vietjet SkyJoy loyalty program, redeemable for rewards. This summer, passengers can also participate in lucky draws for additional prizes.
Vietjet invites travelers to experience its modern, eco-friendly fleet, professional flight crews, and diverse culinary offerings, including traditional Vietnamese dishes such as Pho and Banh Mi. Special cultural and artistic programs are also available on select flights at 10,000 meters.
