Introducing Four Exciting International Flavours This June: nana’s green tea, Bamboo Thai, Duan Chun Zhen & Chef’s Cuts
Hong Kong’s renowned hospitality pioneer, Cafe Deco Group, along with its sister company Food Square, is set to elevate the culinary landscape in Wong Chuk Hang with the launch of four new restaurants at THE SOUTHSIDE this June. These much-anticipated openings will offer a diverse range of international cuisines, bringing fresh, unique flavors to the vibrant Southern District of Hong Kong Island.
Following the success of its AIRSIDE flagship, the beloved Japanese teahouse, nana’s green tea, is opening its second Hong Kong location at THE SOUTHSIDE. Known as the largest matcha-branded café chain in Japan, nana’s green tea has over 70 locations worldwide, offering an array of teas, tea-infused desserts, and a thoughtfully curated savoury menu. The new 1,400 sq. ft. café, designed to emulate a modern Japanese tea ceremony, will offer 56 seats and operate daily from 12:00 noon to 9:30 p.m.

Bamboo Thai will open its newest branch at THE SOUTHSIDE, offering a serene Thai dining experience. Established in 2020, Bamboo Thai combines traditional Southeast Asian flavors with modern culinary techniques. The 4,200 sq. ft. restaurant, accommodating over 190 diners, is inspired by the lush jungles of Thailand and features murals by artist TAXA. Bamboo Thai will be open from 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekends.

Duan Chun Zhen, famous for its classic braised beef noodles, is set to open a new branch at THE SOUTHSIDE. This marks the fifth Hong Kong location for the brand, known for its authentic Taiwanese flavors. The new 1,900 sq. ft. restaurant, featuring traditional Chinese decor, will offer 80 seats and operate daily from 12:00 noon to 9:30 p.m.

The fourth branch of Chef’s Cuts will open at THE SOUTHSIDE, focusing on Western comfort food with a specialty in dry-aged meats and fresh seafood. The 3,000 sq. ft. restaurant features a rustic yet elegant design, with a variety of seating options to cater to different dining preferences. Chef’s Cuts will operate daily from 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m.
