This school holiday, the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, home to Singapore’s wildlife parks, has a jam-packed schedule sure to thrill kids and adults alike. From May 24 to September 8, 2024, enjoy the exhilarating Zoolympix at Singapore Zoo and River Wonders, celebrate Night Safari’s 30th anniversary, and discover the fascinating “Meet the Flock” series at Bird Paradise.
After a five-year hiatus, Zoolympix is back and bigger than ever! From May 25 to August 25, 2024, visitors can dive into a vibrant world where sports meet wildlife. This event offers a plethora of interactive activities showcasing the extraordinary abilities of animals like elephants, ring-tailed lemurs, manatees, and archerfish.
Challenge your strength by hoisting crates, inspired by elephants that can lift 315 kg with their trunks. Test your power generation through cycling, comparing your efforts to the electric eels’ 650-volt electric charges. Families can pick up the Zoolympix Challenge Booklet and embark on a fun-filled trail across Singapore Zoo and River Wonders, exploring activity stations and Instagram-worthy photo spots.
Don’t miss the Champions Village, a new addition this year. Complete activities across the parks to earn exclusive medal-like pins and pose at the podium photo point. Engage in hands-on activities like crafting a Zoolympix torch or making a pouch from recycled PVC canvas. Special encounters with penguins, fennec foxes, and snakes await at the Champions Village in Singapore Zoo.
Catch the refreshed animal presentation, ‘Into the Wild,’ at Singapore Zoo’s amphitheatre, featuring new species like the masked palm civet, banded mongoose, and bearded pig alongside favorites like the ring-tailed lemur and Asian small-clawed otter.
Night Safari, the world’s first nocturnal wildlife park, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a journey through its illustrious history. From May 17 to June 23, 2024, local residents can purchase a pair of Night Safari tickets at $30 each.
Explore a digital trail that highlights Night Safari’s achievements and lesser-known stories. View mementos such as original project drawings and old ticket stubs. Enjoy close encounters with animal ambassadors like snakes and owls, and learn about sloth bears and clouded leopards during special feeding sessions.
At East Lodge, try creating animal enrichment devices under keeper guidance. An exclusive fire performance will be held daily at the Entrance Courtyard. A new walking trail dedicated to native wildlife and Southeast Asian species like the Sunda pangolin and binturong will also be unveiled, marking another milestone for Night Safari.
Bird Paradise’s “Meet the Flock” series kicks off from May 31 to June 30, 2024, spotlighting a different avian species each month.
The first series coincides with World Parrot Day, featuring parrot-themed activities including a behind-the-scenes Parrot Guided Tour (Lite) and Parrot Keeper Talks at Hong Leong Foundation Crimson Wetlands and Lory Loft.
Enjoy 30% off a pair of Bird Paradise admission tickets and complete a self-guided trail to redeem exclusive parrot pins and a lanyard. Collect special monthly bird pins to complete your unique collection.
Don’t miss out on these exciting events at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve this holiday season. Whether you’re engaging in Zoolympix, celebrating Night Safari’s anniversary, or discovering avian wonders at Bird Paradise, there’s something for everyone.
