Kallang Tennis Hub Hosts National School Games Tennis ‘A’ Division Finals, Showcasing School Teams’ Tennis Talent

The Kallang Tennis Hub (KTH) made history as it welcomed the National School Games (NSG) Tennis ‘A’ Division Finals, marking the first tournament held at KTH since its grand opening last month.

Rallying for Victory

In an exhilarating showdown, Raffles Institution (RI) clinched the championship title in the NSG Tennis ‘A’ Division Boys Final, triumphing over Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) (ACSI). The intense match drew in over 600 students, teachers, parents, and supporters, creating an electrifying atmosphere as both teams battled it out on the court.

Honoring Champions

Mr. Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth & Second Minister for Law, alongside Mr. Michael de Silva, Principal of Yishun Innova Junior College and Convenor of NSG Tennis ‘A’ Division, presented the medals and trophies to the victorious RI and ACSI teams, recognizing their outstanding achievements and sportsmanship.

Thrilling Girls Final

In the NSG Tennis ‘A’ Division Girls Final, Raffles Institution once again showcased their prowess, emerging victorious against Hwa Chong Institution to secure the championship title, adding to the excitement of the day’s events.

A Hub of Tennis Excellence

The NSG Tennis ‘A’ Division 3rd/4th placing matches also graced the courts of KTH on May 3, further highlighting the hub’s significance as a premier venue for tennis excellence in Singapore.

A New Era for Tennis

The recently completed KTH, inaugurated to the public on April 15, stands as Singapore’s pioneering indoor, international tournament-ready tennis facility. This state-of-the-art hub not only positions Singapore as a hub for international tennis tournaments but also caters to the training needs of high-performance athletes and budding talents under the Singapore Tennis Association and ActiveSG Tennis Academy.
