Featuring over 120 products ranging from fresh produce to pantry staples, this annual event promises to delight shoppers with the distinctive flavors of New Zealand, available at their nearest Cold Storage or CS Fresh outlet.
The New Zealand Fair kicked off on April 26th, 2024, at CS Fresh Great World, marking a celebration of Singapore’s affinity for produce from the South Pacific nation. According to a report by New Zealand Foreign Affairs & Trade, Singapore ranks among New Zealand’s top 15 food and beverage export destinations, with a market potential exceeding SGD $4 billion. Renowned for its dairy products, meats, seafood, and fruits such as kiwis and apples, New Zealand’s extensive range of high-quality produce is highly valued by Singaporeans.
The launch event witnessed the presence of Pang Siew Heng, Operations Director for DFI Retail Group Singapore, alongside Rachael Kerr, Regional Director for Southeast and East Asia at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE). Festivities commenced with a traditional Maori performance, the Kapa Haka, followed by the ceremonial cutting of the pavlova, a beloved New Zealand delicacy.
Boasting booths from 13 prestigious brands, shoppers had the opportunity to sample exclusive offerings available only at CS Fresh and Cold Storage outlets. Highlights included Mount Somers Honey, renowned for its premium honey, Bluebird, a leading manufacturer of potato chips, and Kiwi Country, a respected pet food brand.
The annual collaboration between Cold Storage and NZTE aims to showcase New Zealand’s diverse selection of high-quality products while embodying the country’s commitment to caring for both people and the planet.
From now until May 15th, shoppers can explore fantastic deals on New Zealand products at Cold Storage and CS Fresh outlets across Singapore. Additionally, sampling booths will be available at CS Fresh outlets in Tanglin Mall and Paragon on the weekends of May 3rd – 5th and May 10th – 12th, offering shoppers the chance to savor the flavors of New Zealand firsthand.
