Nothing has announced the launch of two cutting-edge wireless earbuds, Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a), alongside industry-first ChatGPT integrations during its Q1 Community Update, streamed live from Tokyo, Japan. These innovations mark a significant milestone in Nothing’s mission to redefine the audio and user experience landscape.
Building on three years of meticulous design and engineering, Nothing’s latest audio offerings promise a premium listening experience tailored for audiophiles and daily users alike. Straying from conventional product names, Nothing has opted for a more intuitive approach, focusing on the product itself and the user experience.
Nothing Ear represents a refinement of the Ear (2) model, aiming to deliver the most exceptional audio experience to date without compromising on performance. Engineered with audiophiles in mind, Ear boasts Nothing’s most advanced driver system yet, featuring a custom 11 mm dynamic driver with premium materials, including a ceramic diaphragm for unrivaled clarity and richness in sound. With support for LHDC 5.0 and LDAC codec, Ear offers high-resolution streaming over Bluetooth, reaching up to 1 Mbps 24 bit/192 kHz with LHDC 5.0 and up to 990 kbps at 24 bit/96 kHz with LDAC.
Equipped with advanced noise-cancelling capabilities, Ear features Nothing’s most effective Smart ANC algorithm to date, intelligently adapting to environmental noise levels for a truly immersive listening experience. The addition of Adaptive ANC ensures optimal noise cancellation levels, automatically adjusting to background distractions with high precision. In a move to advance consumer tech products’ transition to AI, Nothing has integrated ChatGPT into its earbuds and smartphone operating system, offering users instant access to knowledge directly from their devices. With pinch-to-speak functionality, users can interact with the world’s most popular consumer AI tool directly from Nothing earbuds, including the newly launched Ear and Ear (a).
Additionally, Nothing OS enhancements embed system-level entry points to ChatGPT, including screenshot sharing and Nothing-styled widgets.
In Singapore, Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a) will be available for SGD $229 and SGD $159, respectively, limited quantities releasing, along with their apparel line including Nothing Cap and Nothing Labcoat, at Chamber Store and online starting April 27.
