Downtown East Presents Marine Marvels: Dive into the Depths of Ocean Conservation

As the mid-year school holidays approach, Downtown East, Singapore’s beloved lifestyle destination, is gearing up to immerse visitors in an unforgettable experience with Marine Marvels. This exciting event, running from May 24 to July 28, promises a blend of entertainment and education, centered around the crucial theme of ocean conservation.

Marine Marvels aims to raise awareness about marine life and the urgent need for conservation efforts amid growing threats to our oceans. Through a series of interactive installations spread across four captivating zones, visitors will embark on a journey to explore the wonders of the deep sea while learning about sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Wave Wonder Zone at Wild Wild Wet

Prepare to be swept away by Singapore’s longest marine-inspired inflatable obstacle course, spanning a staggering 85 meters. Designed to mimic the challenges faced by sea creatures in their natural habitat, this adrenaline-pumping attraction will test your agility and endurance while offering insights into the beauty and fragility of marine ecosystems. Spot Axie & Friends, the adorable aquatic mascots, as you navigate through this underwater adventure.

Glow Coast Carnival

Experience the magic of the Glow Coast Carnival, where the Open-Air Carpark comes alive with dazzling neon signboards and vibrant photo spots. Highlighting the carnival is Singapore’s first neon playground, featuring colorful life-sized spinning tops and six exciting family rides. Step back in time at the old-school carnival game booths and stand a chance to win fantastic prizes.

Interactive Educational Installations at Event Square

Dive into an immersive world of interactive light, soundscape, and digital panels at Event Square. Discover the importance of marine conservation through moving narratives and spectacular life-sized digital tanks. Feast your eyes on beautiful aquatic friends and gain a deeper understanding of our responsibility to protect our oceans. Best of all, entry is free for all visitors.

Marine Mealtime

Indulge in a unique feeding experience at Marine Mealtime, located just outside Wild Wild Wet’s entrance. For a nominal fee, visitors can enjoy the beloved tradition of milk-bottle feeding koi fish, fostering a deeper connection with nature and promoting appreciation for these majestic creatures.

In addition to these immersive experiences, Marine Marvels offers self-guided tours tailored for schools and companies, providing valuable insights into marine life and the importance of conservation. With engaging teaching materials provided, these tours aim to inspire a passion for protecting our oceans among future generations.
