WWF-Singapore, in collaboration with partners, is gearing up to host the highly anticipated Earth Hour Festival at Wisma Atria on Saturday, March 23rd. This annual event aims to foster climate resilience through community engagement, featuring a diverse array of 23 edu-tainment activities and performances.
The festival, designed to inspire collective action in protecting the planet, will kick off with a symbolic Switch Off moment at 8:30 pm. Last year, over 10,000 individuals and businesses participated in this act, and this year promises to be even more electrifying. As the lights dim across Orchard Road, the outdoor atrium at Wisma Atria will transform into a dazzling spectacle, symbolizing a shared commitment to a climate-resilient future. Hosted by a local celebrity, the evening will feature special guest performances by WWF’s Eco-Schools, Damaru Singapore, Green Drummers, and Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS).
Throughout the day, attendees can immerse themselves in a variety of engaging activities starting from 11 am. Highlights include educational booths focused on nature, climate, and community, where participants can explore the complexities of climate change through interactive games and exhibits. Children will have the opportunity to interact with okto’s Lil Wild character, Wobi, during the “Ask Wobi Anything” session, organized by Mediacorp. Additionally, there will be a special meet-and-greet with beloved Sesame Street characters.
Epson, the International Partner, and Watsons Singapore, the Lead Partner, will also host booth engagements showcasing their own sustainability initiatives, further emphasizing the importance of eco-conscious practices.
WWF-Singapore encourages Singaporeans to join in the Earth Hour Festival throughout the day and participate in the Switch Off moment at 8:30 pm. This event serves as a powerful symbol of global unity in support of climate action and conservation efforts.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to be part of the movement for a sustainable future.
