Network for Electronic Transfers (NETS) has announced its commitment to continue sales and support for the NETS FlashPay Card. This decision aligns with the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) recent announcement to extend the existing adult card-based ticketing system, running in parallel with the innovative SimplyGo system.
The NETS FlashPay Card, a reliable companion for daily commuters, offers the convenience of checking fare information and card balances directly on MRT and LRT fare gates, as well as on buses. Beyond transit, the card is accepted at over 130,000 NETS acceptance points, providing users with a seamless payment experience across various platforms.
To identify if they are holding a NETS FlashPay Card, the public can check for the distinctive NETS FlashPay logo, located at the bottom right corner of the card face or on the back of the card.
Exciting news for those who purchased NETS Prepaid Cards between January 9th and January 22nd, 2024 (inclusive). They now have the option to exchange their cards for a NETS FlashPay Card. NETS is collaborating with LTA to finalize the exchange process and promises to update commuters as soon as the details are confirmed.
For those eager to get their hands on a NETS FlashPay Card, worry not. NETS will resume the sale of these cards at SimplyGo Ticket Offices, popular convenience stores like 7-Eleven, Cheers, Buzz, NETS Customer Service Centre, and online channels such as Lazada and Shopee.
It’s worth noting that the NETS Prepaid Card, catering to both transit and retail needs, remains available for consumers who prefer the functionalities offered under account-based ticketing.
With these developments, NETS continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing the commuting experience, ensuring seamless transactions and accessibility for all.
