The LEGO Group has landed in Singapore’s travel retail space with not one, but two exciting stores at Changi Airport Terminals 3 and 4. LEGO fans, young and old, are in for a treat as these LEGO Airport Stores (LAS) introduce the brand’s unique ‘Retailtainment’ concept, which blends shopping with entertainment. As the holiday season approaches, the LEGO Group has planned a range of activities and exclusive promotions from 2 November to 13 December 2023, to make travel and shopping more exciting for LEGO enthusiasts.
The LAS stores in Changi Airport will leave a memorable impression on visitors. Both stores will feature Singapore-exclusive mosaic walls, showcasing the awe-inspiring HSBC Rain Vortex, the world’s tallest indoor waterfall located at Jewel Changi Airport. These incredible mosaic artworks, created by Singaporean artist and LEGO Certified Professional Nicholas Foo, are composed of a staggering 41,472 LEGO pieces each and beautifully depict the iconic waterfall, offering both day and night views.
For families and LEGO fans on the go, there’s a special treat awaiting you. You can take photos next to an exclusive 3D LEGO Model featuring local landmarks like the Merlion Minifigure and the Changi Airport Tower. These models, hand-built with 35,832 LEGO bricks, warmly welcome visitors by recreating popular tourist attractions.
Shoppers can unleash their creativity at the LEGO Build A Minifigure stations, allowing you to customize your very own LEGO characters.
The ‘Retailtainment’ concept has been carefully developed based on two years of customer research. The new store format offers retail experiences that are unique to the LEGO brand, enabling visitors of all ages to share their ideas and creativity. Explore fully assembled LEGO models through a special AR interactive Digibox kiosk and examine sets in detail with an interactive disruptor unit and a movable magnifying feature.
From 2 November to 13 December, you can dive into the world of creative play with a series of exciting launch activities on selected weekdays at the LEGO Airport Store. These activities include a hands-on LEGO Merlion Microbuild Make & Take event, an interactive LEGO Minifigure Travel Social Media Contest, custom LEGO postcards, and exclusive promotions to enhance your pre-flight experience.
The fun continues with a Spin and Win lucky draw, where you can win a LEGO set with a minimum spend of $88 at the LAS. Plus, if you spend a minimum of $150 at the LAS, you can redeem an exclusive 40528 LEGO Store, but hurry, as this offer is available while stocks last.
To make the grand opening even more special, visitors on November 2nd can meet the LEGO Pilot Mascot from 2 to 3 pm at the LAS in Changi Airport Terminal 4 and from 4 to 6 pm at the LAS in Changi Airport Terminal 3. Snap pictures with the mascot and receive a $10 LEGO retail voucher (while stocks last) as a token of appreciation.
