Explore the world through the eyes of talented young artists at the “Whirlwind of Wonders: A Think! Contemporary Primary School Exhibition”

Are you ready to embark on a fascinating journey through the eyes of young, creative minds? The Whirlwind of Wonders exhibition invites you to see the world from a fresh perspective, as you immerse yourself in the remarkable artworks that reflect the insightful observations and untold stories of these budding artists. These students have not only explored the world around them but also delved into their own inner worlds, giving life to experiences and encounters, both big and small, old and new, and ever-changing.

Whirlwind of Wonders marks the 11th edition of the Think! Contemporary programme, a collaborative effort between the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) and CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace, Geylang Methodist School (Primary), Haig Girls’ School, Mayflower Primary School, St. Anthony’s Primary School, and Xinghua Primary School.

Prepare to be captivated as you dive into this enchanting exhibition, where 16 unique artworks created by students from these schools offer a glimpse into their inquisitive and imaginative minds. Through these artworks, the students express their contemplations on everyday experiences, addressing significant themes such as home, community, identity, and memory. These profound insights were inspired by the works displayed in SAM’s Learning Gallery, as well as the masterpieces by Raed Ibrahim and Samia Halaby, featured in the Singapore Biennale 2022.

This extraordinary exhibition was brought to life through a special program that harnessed the creative ideas of Junyuan Secondary School students. Now, it’s your turn to witness the brilliance of these young artists.

The Whirlwind of Wonders exhibition is taking place at Our Tampines Hub, Festive Market, and Festive Walk West on Level 1. Don’t miss this chance to explore the world through the eyes of these talented young artists.

The exhibition runs from today till 7 November, and while you’re there, indulge in some hands-on coloring and craft activities within the exhibition space. Get ready for a whirlwind of creativity and inspiration!
