Experience ‘All Things Local’ when you stay at PARKROYAL Hotels & Resorts

Travel enthusiasts, get ready to step beyond the guidebook and immerse yourself in the culturally rich precincts of PARKROYAL Hotels & Resorts properties across Asia Pacific. The ‘All Things Local’ experience is here to redefine your travel adventures, from Singapore and Malaysia to Japan and Australia, and beyond.

A Gateway to Vibrant Locales

PARKROYAL’s ‘All Things Local’ experiences kick off with a bang at PARKROYAL on Beach Road, Singapore. This program offers a curated selection of hands-on and interactive experiences designed to connect you with the heart and soul of your destination. Whether you’re a culinary connoisseur or an artisan enthusiast, there’s something here for everyone.

This stunning hotel is nestled in the historic and vibrant precinct of Kampong Gelam, where larger-than-life street art, heritage businesses, and Malay traditions come to life. And did you know that Haji Lane, found here, is the narrowest street in Singapore? It’s a hidden gem waiting to be explored.

All Things Local Stay Packages

Running from 6 October 2023 to 6 April 2024, PARKROYAL on Beach Road’s ‘All Things Local’ stay packages start at SS$380++ and include a 2-day, 1-night room stay with one activity of your choice for two persons. These activities are curated in collaboration with local experts from Culturally, offering you rare and immersive experiences in the destination.

Discovering Vibrant Locales

Singapore’s heritage as a hub for leather tanning stretches back to the 1940s, with Tannery Lane being a notable landmark. PARKROYAL on Beach Road has paired a stay at the hotel with a leathercrafting workshop by the local atelier Crafune, situated along the bustling Haji Lane. Here, you can try your hand at creating a leather coin pouch, inspired by weaving techniques reminiscent of iconic local dishes like ketupat and bazhang.

And speaking of local flavors, don’t miss the chance to savor the rich and complex taste of sambal balado, a beloved condiment in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Ginger restaurant at PARKROYAL offers dishes enhanced by Chef Low’s signature sambal balado, available with keropok crackers or crab bee hoon. You can even take home a jar of Ginger’s sambal balado for just S$8++.

Club 5’s curated cocktails/mocktails are inspired by the neighbourhood of Kampong Gelam, while its delectable food offerings takes on a modern interpretation of Southeast Asian flavours.

Immersive Experiences at PARKROYAL

Local activities available across other PARKROYAL Hotels and Resorts include a craft beer tasting experience, an outdoor picnic and a winery tour.

At PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport, Australia, dive into a unique experience at the historic Woodlands Homestead. Get up close and personal with former racehorse champions and enjoy a private guided horse tour of the Living Legends horses that call Melbourne home.

For craft beer enthusiasts, PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne offers a craft beer tasting experience with Melbourne’s independent craft brewer, Two Rupees, showcasing local craft beer creations and guided beer tasting.

PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney, promises to immerse you in the best of Sydney with experiences like an Aboriginal guided walk with a picnic lunch, where you’ll discover the ancient culture of Aboriginal Dreamtime.

More to Come

As PARKROYAL continues to expand its footprint across the region, more ‘All Things Local’ experiences are on the horizon. From Jakarta to Melaka, Dalian to Siem Reap, travelers can look forward to even more immersive adventures in the coming years.
