Canon announces the launch of the CR-N100 indoor 4K remote camera in Asia, expanding its already impressive lineup of remote camera systems. This innovative addition promises to revolutionize the world of livestreaming, video recording, and visual content creation, catering to a diverse range of applications, from professional video production to educational institutions and enterprises.
The CR-N100 boasts a sleek and compact design, making it an ideal choice for indoor settings such as meeting rooms and classrooms. Equipped with pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) capabilities, this camera can be easily installed in various environments. As online meetings, lectures, events, and seminars become increasingly prevalent, the demand for high-quality livestreaming and video recording technology is on the rise. Canon’s CR-N100 steps in to meet this demand, offering users a versatile and powerful solution.
Canon has leveraged its extensive experience in professional camera technology development to equip the CR-N100 with cutting-edge features. The camera features a 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor and the powerful DIGIC DV6 image processing platform, enabling it to capture stunning 4K/30P high-quality video. Furthermore, the camera boasts a 20x optical zoom lens with a focal length ranging from 29.3mm to 601mm, ensuring that you can capture a wide range of scenes, from wide-angle to telephoto.
To cater to various scenarios and subjects, the CR-N100 offers four “scene modes” – Portrait, Sports, Low-light, and Spotlight. These modes empower users to achieve the best possible visual expression based on their specific requirements.
Canon has designed the CR-N100 to seamlessly integrate into versatile production environments. It supports XC Protocol, Canon’s proprietary extended IP for controlling video production devices, RTMP for livestreaming, NDI|HX for live visual production, and the SRT Protocol known for its high image quality, low latency, and secure video transmission.
The camera’s video interface supports IP, HDMI, and the USB Video Class (UVC) transmission standard. This versatility enables the CR-N100 to be used as a camera for web conference systems, simply by connecting it to a PC via USB. Additionally, Canon offers a free Multi-camera Management Application that allows users to configure and control up to 200 cameras, facilitating efficient operation in large-scale systems for enterprises, local governments, and educational institutions.
As if that weren’t enough, Canon provides users with the Add-On Applications System, introducing exciting new video production features. One standout feature is auto tracking, which allows the camera to automatically pan, tilt, and zoom to track moving subjects, enhancing the overall visual experience.
The CR-N100 will be available in Singapore in early October, and it comes in both white and black color options. With its powerful features, compact design, and advanced technology, the CR-N100 promises to be a game-changer in the world of indoor 4K remote cameras.
