Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) is set to take seniors on a trip down memory lane with its newly announced program, “Happy Sing-Along.” This initiative aims to showcase and celebrate the rich tapestry of dialect culture through iconic songs, brought to life by local artists. With the first session scheduled for 4 October 2023, the program promises to be a delightful journey into the past.
Nostalgia-Filled Sessions
“Happy Sing-Along” is all set to kick off its inaugural session on 4 October 2023, at the SCCC Auditorium, running from 3 pm to 5 pm. For those unable to attend in person, the sessions will be livestreamed on SCCC’s Facebook page and the pages of the performing artists. Each session is carefully curated to feature a diverse selection of songs that resonate deeply with the senior audience.
Star-Studded Lineup
The program will be hosted by esteemed television and radio personalities, including Marcus Chin, Lee Peifen, and Hao Hao. These well-known hosts will guide both the onsite and online attendees through a captivating musical journey featuring nostalgic dialect and Mandarin pop songs, skillfully performed by local artists.
Beyond the music, the sessions will also include engaging Q&A segments and entertaining skits that offer insights into various aspects of local Chinese culture.
