foodpanda Singapore has announced a strategic partnership with DFI Retail Group (“DFI”) and yuu Rewards Club. The collaboration aims to enhance the quick commerce (q-commerce) category, expanding the convenience and value foodpanda Singapore offers to its customers.
Under this groundbreaking partnership, foodpanda users can now access an extensive selection of nearly 20,000 grocery items from popular supermarkets, including Cold Storage, CS Fresh, and Giant, available across the entire island. The best part? These groceries are priced the same as in-store, ensuring cost-effectiveness for shoppers. This move caters to the ever-increasing demand for quick and convenient online supermarket shopping in Singapore, with the added bonus of doorstep delivery within an hour.
A recent survey conducted by foodpanda and DFI revealed intriguing insights into local grocery shopping habits. A staggering 95% of respondents confessed to spending close to a full working day each month on grocery shopping alone. They expressed a desire to allocate this valuable time to activities such as spending quality moments with friends and family (73%), focusing on mental and physical well-being (70%), or indulging in personal hobbies (68%). The survey identified common reasons for time-consuming grocery shopping, including returning to the supermarket to retrieve forgotten items (62%) and purchasing duplicates of essentials due to lack of pantry checks (49%).
With foodpanda’s new service, users can bid farewell to time-consuming in-store shopping and opt for swift deliveries. Household essentials, premium fresh produce, meats, organic products, plant-based goods, and even bulky household items are now just a few clicks away. Users can effortlessly peruse the entire in-store inventory, place their orders, and have quality groceries delivered from Cold Storage, CS Fresh, and Giant directly to their doorstep. Regular updates of store inventory ensure access to the freshest selections, all at standard in-store prices. Trained store pickers guarantee that products have a minimum seven-day shelf life, maintaining maximum freshness.
The survey also unveiled that 81% of respondents either walk or take public transport after grocery shopping, a chore they dread (70%). However, with foodpanda’s rapid delivery service, carrying heavy grocery bags is now a thing of the past. Users can not only enjoy deliveries within the hour but also pre-order their groceries at a convenient date and time.
The app recommends personalized products based on past purchases, while customers can also access in-store deals when ordering groceries from Cold Storage, CS Fresh, and Giant via the foodpanda app.
Recognizing the value of rewards in enhancing the online grocery shopping experience, foodpanda has partnered with the yuu Rewards Club. Customers can now earn yuu Points on foodpanda transactions at a “1 dollar equals 1 yuu Point” earn rate.
Accumulated yuu Points can be used to offset future purchases or redeemed for rewards with yuu partner brands, including foodpanda, Cold Storage, CS Fresh, Giant, Guardian Health & Beauty, 7-Eleven, BreadTalk, Toast Box, Food Junction, Food Republic, Food Opera, and more.
