Intellect 2.0: Transforming Workplace Mental Wellbeing Across Southeast Asia

Intellect has taken a giant leap forward in addressing workplace mental well-being with the launch of Intellect 2.0. This comprehensive suite of services is set to revolutionize Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) for companies across Southeast Asia, offering instantaneous clinical interventions and critical support online, over the phone, and face-to-face.

A pressing concern for both employers and employees, the state of mental health in the workplace cannot be ignored. A recent study conducted by Intellect in 2022 with Milieu Insight revealed that only 57% of Singaporeans rated their mental health as “good,” “very good,” or “excellent.” Furthermore, a 2023 Intellect survey of HR professionals showed that 41% rated their mental health as “fair,” “poor,” “very poor,” or “extremely poor.” These concerning statistics emphasize the urgent need for accessible tools and support to combat emotional fallout and boost well-being.

Intellect 2.0 takes mental health support to a whole new level, building on the foundation of Intellect’s acclaimed programmes. This innovative solution aims to provide everyday support for employees, including swift clinical interventions for stressful situations, coaching and psychiatric services, and a 24/7 hotline and EAP concierge service for critical incident stress management.

Spanning 17 countries across the APAC region, Intellect’s responders are well-equipped to provide timely helpline support, effectively de-escalating critical cases and offering immediate assistance. Follow-up coaching and clinical sessions can be conducted virtually or in person at Intellect clinics, ensuring that employees receive tailored support to foster their mental well-being.

Central to the Intellect 2.0 launch is the introduction of Intellect Dimensions, a proprietary mental health screening tool that evaluates employees’ well-being and productivity across five facets: psychological resources, work outcomes, well-being, stigma, and absenteeism. Employers will benefit from anonymized, scientifically-backed measurements of the return on investment from their wellbeing programs, empowering them to gain a comprehensive understanding of their organization’s overall well-being. Through an extensive research study, Intellect Dimensions has been scientifically validated and is estimated to deliver 14 times returns for businesses.

Recognizing that mental health is influenced by various interconnected factors, Intellect 2.0 proudly announces new partnerships with ancillary services such as MoneyOwl and Alive Nutrition. By addressing financial challenges, physical health, and legal concerns, these partnerships provide holistic support for employees, helping them thrive both personally and professionally. Accessible through group webinars and workshops, private consultations with experts, and app-based services, these additional offerings further bolster the comprehensive nature of Intellect 2.0.

Intellect is committed to making mental health support accessible and effective for employees and businesses across Southeast Asia. With Intellect 2.0, a new era of workplace mental well-being begins, empowering companies to prioritize the health and happiness of their workforce like never before.
