Asia’s tallest slingshot made its heart-thumping launch at the iconic Clarke Quay.
Designed to simulate a volcanic eruption, the Slingshot platform will tilt the two-seater gondola into a reclined position and lower you into the heart of the ‘volcano’, before propelling you towards the skies at a force of up to 4G.
Amongst the Slingshot rides found in more than 70 countries around the world, Singapore’s edition is the tallest in Asia – with its inclined structures at 54-metre high, equivalent to about 16 storeys, towering over Clarke Quay. Riders will be able to take in the mesmerising skyline of Singapore from a unique angle during the two-minute ride – if you dare to open your eyes.
Slingshot is anchored upon a revolutionary system built with state-of-the-art technology. Its propulsion power comes from a robust mechanism with almost 200 springs and two sets of steel wire cables to provide dual redundancy, elevating its safety, height and speed above the bungee cord-driven GMAX ride that was located at the same site.
You can also purchase a video recording of your ride to proudly share this daring feat with your family and friends and to relive this riveting moment for yourself.
Tickets are sold at S$45 for adults and S$35 for students aged 18 years and below. Slingshot is open daily from 4:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Riders are required to be above 125cm in height.
