Vietjet is further expanding its footprint in Indonesia with a third direct service connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Jakarta from 5 August 2023.
Following its successful operation of Ho Chi Minh City – Bali and Hanoi – Bali routes, the new service marks Vietjet’s expansion to reach a broader audience in Southeast Asia, particularly major cities like Jakarta, which serves as the economic, political, and cultural centre of Indonesia.
Vietjet will operate daily round-trip flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Jakarta with an approximate flight duration of 3 hours. The flights depart from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) in Ho Chi Minh City at 09:35 and arrive at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Jakarta at 12:30. From Jakarta, the flights depart at 13:30 and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 16:40 (All in local time).
To celebrate the launch of the new service to Jakarta, Vietjet is offering a super-deal promotion every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with fares starting from USD0 (excluding taxes and surcharges). The promotion is applied to Vietjet’s entire international flight network, including the Jakarta – Ho Chi Minh route.
You can book your promotional tickets here or the Vietjet Air app for travelling from 10 August 2023 to 31 March 2024 (excluding national holidays).
Vietjet is currently operating two services to Indonesia, with 3 daily round-trip flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Bali, and one daily round-trip flight between Hanoi and Bali. With the addition of the route to Jakarta, Vietjet will operate three commercial flight routes from Vietnam to Indonesia from August.
