[Lobang Alert] Earn Air Miles or Lifestyle Rewards with Singapore Airlines’ Kris+ App to Power Up Your Travel and Lifestyle Goals

If you are someone who loves collecting air miles or collecting shopping or dining rebates, the Kris+ app by Singapore Airlines is a must-have app for you to enjoy the best of both worlds. It is designed not just for mile hackers, but for regular rewards-seekers like you and me.

Designed as a one-stop lifestyle app, the app seamlessly integrates Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer frequent flyer programme with a range of lifestyle benefits and rewards. We are now able to earn miles at the highest rates from daily spend, and to choose between redeeming them for flights or offsetting spend on everyday shopping and dining partners.

If you are an existing KrisFlyer customer, simply login to the Kris+ app with your KrisFlyer account. Or you can easily sign up on the app to enjoy all the lifestyle perks and discounts.

Following the resumption of global air travel and the lifting of most Covid travel restrictions, I downloaded the app recently and found it easy to use and intuitive, making it accessible to users of all ages and technical abilities. The main home screen is filled with carousel panels for easy discoverability of relevant information, while promotions are presented in a content-centric manner, making them more engaging than just product and price tags.

You will be able to do the following on the app and earn air miles at the same time:

  • Pay using Kris+ at over 1,500 partners outlets in Singapore and enjoy the highest miles earn rates (up to 9 miles / S$1 spend)
  • Enjoy discounts and regular flash deals
  • Earn miles when you make dining reservations instantly
  • Book a taxi, in partnership with CDG Zig and earn miles on your ride
  • Buy stuff from KrisShop and have them delivered to your doorstep
  • Make activity bookings from travel-experience platform Pelago
  • Attempt in-app challenges to earn direct rebates
  • Access Global Offerings in 15 countries outside of Singapore

Below is a simple guide to set everything up and get started on using the app on a daily basis to power up your travel and lifestyle goals.

Getting started with the Kris+ app

The Kris+ app is available for download from both the Apple App store and the Google Play store. Simply download and log in with your KrisFlyer account or sign up on the app.

Mobile payments through the Kris+ app are enabled by Apple Pay (on iOS) and Google Pay (on Android). Look out for the banner under the ‘Wallet’ tab to check if you have in-app payments enabled or follow the steps to set up.

With that done, you are now ready to earn miles through Kris+. Simply look for the Kris+ QR code at cashiers, and scan and pay through the app. If you would like to maximise your miles earning opportunity, link a credit card that allows you to earn miles on Apple Pay or Google Pay. In this way, you will successfully double-dip by earning miles from your credit card usage, as well as from using Kris+ to make payments.

Lifestyle Experiences in Singapore, available with over 1,500 partner outlets

One of the key benefits of the Kris+ app is its focus on lifestyle experiences in Singapore. The app offers users the ability to earn and redeem miles for a range of local activities and experiences, from dining and shopping to entertainment and wellness. You will get instant access to a wide range of complimentary member privileges, ranging from dollar discounts, 1-for-1 birthday meals to exclusive shopping discounts.

The Kris+ app has created a platform that encourages users to explore and enjoy the best that Singapore has to offer. You can earn miles at popular restaurants such as Aburi-EN and Paradise Dynasty, as well as at retail outlets like Challenger and Adidas.

The app also offers in-store discounts overseas, available in 15 countries including South Korea, Thailand, Australia and India.

Curated and easy-to-use every day

The Kris+ app gives you many reasons to log into the app on a daily basis as an everyday super app for travel and lifestyle rewards. If you love to accumulate air miles, simply eat, shop and play, using the Kris+ app to earn air miles and get closer to your dream destination.

Personally, I like to use the “Explore Nearby Partners” feature to guide my daily activities. If there is a restaurant nearby that catches my fancy and also earns me air miles, why not kill two birds with one stone?

Have an upcoming dinner gathering? Remember to make dinner reservations through Kris+ “Reserve A Table” function. You’ll earn 100 miles with every completed dining reservation.

Need a ride to your next destination? Check out Book A Taxion the Kris+ app. The app has collaborated with CDG Zig to enable taxi bookings that allow you to pay for rides with miles or earn air miles.

Shopping for gifts for yourself or your loved ones? You can also check out KrisShop for deals as well as airline exclusives and have your purchases delivered to your doorstep. Make your purchase through the Kris+ app to earn more miles.

Lastly, if you are just bored and looking for something to do, check out the “Challenges” tab and find out how you can earn direct rebates. For example, you can receive S$0.50 if you complete their weekly check-in challenge or get rebates when you spend at featured partners.

There are many other frequent promotions like spending with Mastercard® can give you a S$10 rebate with minimum spend requirement or receive up to S$20 rebate from Kris+’s regular sure-win spend & win games.

Highest earn rates in Singapore for any flight miles programme

The Kris+ app currently offers the highest earn rates in Singapore at up to 9 miles per dollar spend which can be converted to air miles or redeemed to offset future spend (at a rate of 150 miles = S$1 offset) at Kris+ merchants islandwide.

To double-dip your rewards, the miles earned through Kris+ is in addition to any existing credit card rewards you currently enjoy. As mentioned earlier in the article, this is something that I found to be extremely attractive. For instance, to earn the most KrisFlyer miles on a single transaction, I will use an airline miles-centric credit card (stored in Apple Pay) to pay for something using the Kris+ app.

Integration with the KrisFlyer frequent flyer program

Last, but not least, one of the standout features of the Kris+ app is its direct link with the KrisFlyer frequent flyer program. The app seamlessly integrates with the programme, allowing us to earn miles from our daily purchases and activities, and transfer them to KrisFlyer for flight redemptions with one simple click.

The KrisFlyer programme is one of the most popular frequent flyer programs in the world, and the Kris+ app has made it even more accessible and user-friendly. The app allows us to earn and redeem miles easily on everyday spend.

These experiences are a testament to Singapore Airlines’ commitment to providing its customers with the best possible experience, both in the air and on the ground.

If you do not have the Kris+ installed on your phone yet, please do so to avoid missing out on earning miles and lifestyle rewards as well as double-dipping on rewards.
