FairPrice Finest opens at the Sengkang Grand Mall; sports self-service technology featuring Scan & Go and self-checkout counters

NTUC FairPrice (FairPrice) officially opens its latest FairPrice Finest outlet located at Sengkang Grand Mall. Spanning over 13,400 sq ft, the store devotes half of its retail space to fresh and frozen food items and features an enhanced section for organic and special dietary products.

Catering to the needs of time-starved young families and PMETs (professionals, managers, executives and technicians) living in the vicinity, the store is also equipped with efficient self-checkout facilities that allow for both basket and trolley purchases to provide you with a smoother and more convenient shopping experience aided by friendly service ambassadors.

FairPrice Finest at Sengkang Grand is completely served by 12 self-checkout (SCO) counters for faster and more convenient shopping. The self-checkout counters offer both cashless and cash payment options. In addition, friendly service ambassadors will be on standby to assist customers where needed.

The store is also equipped with four Scan & Go counters, an omni-channel initiative that allows you to use the FairPrice app to scan products and purchase directly without having to queue up to make payment.

Focus on fresh and wellness

Since the onset of COVID-19 in 2019, customers have become more health conscious and are consuming more fresh produce. FairPrice saw a general sales growth of more than 10 percent in its fresh category from 2019 to 2022. This includes fruits, vegetables, fresh seafood, meat and eggs.

To address the growing popularity of fresh food, the store features an expansive meat counter that sells both beef and pork, a double tier seafood bed and fresh ambassadors to engage customers on purchasing fresh foods.

The store also features a zone where vegetables are sold “loose” or unpackaged, allowing you to choose the exact amount that you need.

Apart from this, the store features a specially curated wellness zone that includes a wide range of free-from, organic and plant based products. A Health and Wellness ambassador, a newly created role, will also be present to educate you on the various health and wellness products while also promoting healthier eating habits.

Pioneer Generation, Merdeka Generation and CHAS Blue card holders need only to flash their cards to the service attendants to enjoy the respective discount schemes.
