From 13 January to 5 February 2023, Hop into Fun with festive meet and greets, an exciting night Lo Hei event during extended weekend opening hours, beautiful cherry blossom trees and the chance to collect attractive gifts.
Have an unforgettable Chinese New Year at the park-wide Festive Meet and Greets. Exchange well wishes with a whole host of characters in their Lunar New Year best: DreamWorks Animation’s Po and Tigress from Kung Fu Panda, DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek, Princess Fiona, Puss and Kitty, as well as Alex, King Julian and Gloria from Madagascar.
Sesame Street’s Elmo, Cookie Monster, Grover, Oscar and Abby as well as Woody and Winnie Woodpecker join in the fun too. Keep an eye and ear out for Optimus Prime and Megatron, whose special Chinese New Year greetings in Mandarin are sure to delight guests.
Watch Illumination’s Minions celebrate the New Year with an exciting performance. Fans are in for a treat with Kevin in his specially designed bunny outfit. And don’t forget to grab selfies with the Minions.

The festivities at New York kick off with a special yusheng experience with Sesame Street friends. Join Elmo, Oscar, Abby and Cookie Monster at the New York Public Library bedecked with dozens of glowing red lanterns, as they add ingredients and blessings to the yusheng dish for extra wealth and prosperity, and toss to a year of abundant luck.
The celebrations do not end there – the Dance of the Dragon lights up the night in majestic fashion with a neon dragon, colourful new dragon poi, as well as dancers and drummers wearing brilliant LED lights.
Stroll down Hollywood Boulevard and snap some extra-lucky selfies with the beautiful pink cherry blossom trees that adorn the streets.
