Mandai Wildlife Group and Huggs Coffee have joined forces for a merchandise collection that promotes sustainable choices in everyday living. The new lifestyle collection will be available online, as well as in selected Huggs’ Coffee cafes across Singapore and the retail shops at the precinct of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, home of Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and River Wonders.
Inspired by the joys of coffee and outdoor exploration, the collection comprises Tyvek tote bags, tumblers, plushies, speakers, sustainable cookies and a special blend of coffee beans.
Taste the deep, rich flavour of the Wild blend with the luscious taste of dark chocolate and roasted hazelnuts. Huggs has selected Rainforest Alliance certified beans exclusively for the collaboration sourced from Brazil and Indonesia and is the brand’s first beans collaboration to retail.
Rich milky & crunchy almond bites made with spent ingredients such as orange zest and okara. Made in partnership with WellSpent, the cookies are baked with spent ingredients such as Huggs spent coffee grounds, giving them new life packed with fresh tasty flavours.
Smoky & buttery coffee cookies made with Huggs’ spent coffee grounds. Also made in partnership with WellSpent.
Bring the sound of nature wherever you go with this sustainable wooden bluetooth speaker. In this exclusive collaboration, Huggs will be featuring a FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) licensed wooden bluetooth speaker, compact to bring around for a day out in the park or beach. Up to 4 hours playback time.
Take your belongings in this bag made from Tyvek, a unique nonwoven material that is water-resistant and tear resistance and 100 per cent recyclable.
Made with 100% post-consumer polyester stuffing, eco-friendly recycled biopolymer pellets, recycled satin label and FSC hangtag, take this cuddly Sun Bear plushie.
Stay hydrated in style with a sleek, stainless-steel water bottle with a special sun bear motif. Keep your beverages cold (or hot) from day to night in this 500ml tumbler.
The bear, Huggs’ corporate icon, is also an inspiration behind the collection that shares the plight of the Malayan Sun Bear species, which is listed as “Vulnerable” under the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species.
Mandai Wildlife Group cares for the species in its zoological parks and supports an NGO in the region which works with government partners to rescue, rehabilitate and protect vulnerable bear species in Southeast Asia. This includes the Asiatic Black Bear and Malayan Sun Bear which are threatened by poaching and illegal trade.
Under the collaboration, selected items from the Group’s Wildlife Sanctuary collection are also available at select Huggs outlets where every purchase contributes to wildlife conservation. In natural and earthy tones, the Wildlife Sanctuary collection features motifs of the animals from Singapore Zoo and River Wonders.
To celebrate the launch of this collaboration, Mandai Wildlife Group and Huggs are kickstarting a two-week activation at Huggs’ flagship store at AIBI Maxwell from tomorrow till 21 October 2022, where you can escape to a tranquil space inspired by nature, amidst the city’s hustle and bustle.
During this period, customers at Huggs at AIBI Maxwell can redeem free samples of the collection’s sustainable cookies, when they purchase any item from the classic coffee range between 3pm and 5pm daily.
Over the next month, Friends of Wildlife will receive a 10 per cent discount on the drinks menu at Huggs Collective – AIBI Maxwell, while members of Huggs Coffee will get a 10 per cent discount on merchandise purchased online at Mandai Wildlife Group’s e-shop.
Beyond the merchandise range, the Group and Huggs Coffee are planning their next collaboration – to promote sustainable living and animal conservation work to the public.
Products will also be available online on Mandai Wildlife Group’s Lazada and Shopee e-shops from today.
