Indulge in PS. Cafe Classics like the Original Laksa Leaf Pesto ($26) and the iconic PS. Cafe Truffle Shoestring Fries ($17) at their newly opened outlet at I12 Katong. It features new outlet exclusives, Bali Beef Cheek Rendang Rice Bowl ($29) and PS. Katong Chendol Panna Cotta ($15).
Aside from the exquisite food, the new outlet’s design is inspired by seaside villas and subtleties of Peranakan designs. These add a lovely aesthetic and atmosphere to the restaurant.
The new space also features a pet-friendly terrace, perfect for brunch with your beloved furry friends! The unique design is also perfect for your Instagram feed, making it a great meet-up spot with loved ones.
A must-try is the Truffle Shoestring Fries ($17), of course! Topped with a mountain of grated parmesan cheese, the truffle fries carry a light fragrance that isn’t overwhelming. They use their in-house PS. Cafe truffle oil which adds the perfect finishing touch to it.
Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, what’s not to love about this dish?
The Simply Seared Barramundi ($32) was succulent and divine. Its natural sweetness gelled perfectly with the creamy risotto. I loved how the bright herby flavours added dimension to the whole dish. Lemongrass and coconut flavours infuse the risotto while minced shrimp add sweetness which is then balanced with the savoury char of the fish and subtle spicy notes of the sauce.
Green Goddess Pesto Penne ($26) is great for a healthy and wholesome meal. Served with a generous serving of parmesan cheese shavings and their homemade herb and pine nut pistou, it was an extremely satisfying dish. If you are wondering, pistou is a sauce that is like pesto but with pine nuts.
Another PS. Cafe speciality, their iced teas. The tangy Lemon Lime Iced Tea ($8) is a refreshing pairing with heavier, creamy dishes. The Peach Iced Tea ($8) is a fruity concoction that is balanced with a hint of citrus.
For dessert, their classics like the Sticky Date Pudding ($15) and the Double Chocolate Blackout Cake ($18) are delicious recommendations. The Katong outlet offers the exclusive Chendol Panna Cotta ($15), inspired by local flavours.
Personally, I liked the Golden Banana Butterscotch Bundt ($18) because it captures sweet, salty and fruity all in one.
PS. Cafe Katong offers a wide variety of dishes to enjoy in a casual yet elevated atmosphere. More information on PS Cafe Katong here.
