Calling all spice lovers! Choose from 7-Eleven’s new ready-to-eat spicy menu for a quick and yummy meal.
The mouth-watering selection is graded by their spice level from level 1, mildly spicy, to level 5, mind-blowing spicy.
Not only that, get ready to take your taste buds on a trip around the world and savor delectable local, Sichuan, Indian, and Thai favorites.
Not so good with spice? Fret not! Try my personal favourite, the 7-SELECT Chilli Crab Linguine (U.P. $4.80), a sweet, savoury and mildly spicy fusion recipe featuring al dente linguine with in-house chilli crab sauce complete with juicy crab meat.
For a quick bite, take on the Quix Spicy Curry Chicken Sandwich (U.P. $3.30), a fan favourite dish that will never go wrong.
Moving up the spice scale,Alfredo x Omni Meat Mala Pizza Slice (U.P. $3) is a must-try! It’s topped with a generous and mouth-watering layer of cheese that stretches from the slice as you take the first bite fresh out from the microwave.
Those looking for a bite on the go can also get the Quix Spicy Chicken Tikka Masala Wrap (U.P. $3.60), a 12-inch tortilla that boasts roasted marinated chicken tikka, white cabbage, and romaine lettuce.
For a quick and light meal, try the Taste Asia Hot & Sour Glass Noodles (U.P. $3.20) which features silky glass noodles and crunchy peanuts in a hot and sour soup drizzled with chilli oil.
Though we have only reached the middle of the spice spectrum, Taste Asia Vindaloo Chicken Curry with Turmeric Rice (U.P. $4.50) has one of the hottest aromatic curries I have ever tasted, leaving me in sweat but incredibly satisfied. The curry is served with a generous portion of fragrant chickpea and golden turmeric rice.
For a side dish to add to your mains, get the 7-SELECT Fiery Chicken Wonton (U.P. $3.90). The dumplings are tossed in aromatic chilli oil, made with the wholesome choice of canola oil and a fragrant blend of herbs and spices.
Another of my personal favourite is the Taste Asia Thai Chicken Larb with Glutinous Rice (U.P. $4.20), consisting of minced chicken in a spicy and tangy Thai sauce with sticky rice. The chicken larb is very appetizing and flavourful as it bursts with the flavours of Indian spices. The glutinous rice goes very well with the chicken larb as it neutralizes the spicy heat.
At the top of the spice scale, is the famous 7-SELECT Ghost Pepper Chicken Noodle (U.P $4.80). As I sink my teeth into this noodle dish topped with a spicy chicken cutlet, I could feel my nerves being stimulated. Be sure to have a glass of milk and a box of tissue on standby as it will most probably leave your mouth burning and your nose running!
Note: All are halal-certified except for 7-Select Tom Yum Oden (not in this review)
