Recently Old Chang Kee has launched a new snack in collaboration with Jumain Sataysfaction which has been serving traditional satay in Singapore since 1910. Satay is classic sharing food which is perfect for this festive season as it is halal certified and available till 15 May 22.
Chicken satay is one of my favourite snacks because I love how tender and flavourful the meat is. Needless to say, Chicken Satay in a Cup ($4/cup of 5 pcs) satisfied my cravings. Just one bite of this was a burst of flavours in my mouth. It had the classic sweet yet slightly savoury satay taste from the spices used which were infused into the meat as it was marinated so well.
Paired with peanut sauce specifically made for the satay, the satay is as wholesome and as packed with flavour as it can be. You can be guaranteed that the satay is quality stuff as it does not contain any MSG, colouring or preservatives. They use fresh and quality herbs, spices and ingredients in producing the satay, giving it its intense flavour.
You can grab and go from Old Chang Kee retail outlets or skip the queue and simply order online through delivery platforms such as GrabFood, Foodpanda or Deliveroo and have them delivered to you at the comfort of your home. There’s even a delivery satay bundle, available at $10 per bundle of 10 sticks with the sauce separated! You can also add an extra cup of scrumptious satay sauce for $1.
They are available at all Old Chang Kee outlets in Singapore and delivery platforms, where applicable, while stocks last for the day and they don’t last very long. It was usually sold out when I wanted to get the satay for an afternoon snack. It really goes to show how delicious these are!
Apart from the retail stores and delivery, they are also offered at Old Chang Kee Coffee House as a side dish with their ever-popular Blue Pea Nasi Lemak. Complete the set with a bandung drink for only $11.90. Available at No. 19 Mackenzie Rd, Our Tampines Hub and Tanjong Pagar Plazza, as well as on delivery platforms, where applicable.
It is also available at Curry Times as a Chicken Satay Platter ($11.90++) and Nasi Lemak with Chicken Satay Sauce complete with a bandung drink ($11.90++). The outlets offering these dishes are the ones at Velocity, Westgate, Northpoint City, Changi Airport Terminal 3 and on respective delivery platforms.
Lastly, it is also available at the take-away concept, Dip ‘n’ Go by Old Chang Kee, at Woodlands MRT Station and its respective delivery platform as a Chicken Satay Feast ($12.80/10 sticks, $21.80/ 20 sticks, retail price) with satay sauce, onions and cucumbers.
More information can be found on Old Chang Kee’s website here. The list of Old Chang Kee outlets offering the satay can be found here.
