Here is something for parents to bring their little ones for a fun indoor experience during the March school holiday – The World of Nickelodeon Singapore 2022, the first-ever Nickelodeon entertainment centre in Singapore, now open at Marina Square, level 3.
Happening from now till 17 April, the centre features iconic Nickelodeon characters like SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora the Explorer and Bubble Guppies, spread across a few play areas.
Asher and I visited the attraction over the weekend and although he was a tad too old for the kiddish attractions, targeted at a younger crowd aged 10 and under, including toddlers, we still had a lot of fun navigating the experiences.
For Nickelodeon TV fans, there are lots of photo ops available with the various characters, including a mascot meet-and-greet session:
For the fun and games, be rest assured that all the stations are extremely safe for even young toddlers. The stations are also thoroughly sanitised after each batch admission, with strict adherence to safe distancing and other Covid-19 policies. Highlights include:
Fire air canisters to put out flames by turning the wall cards. Safe and fun, mimicking the fire fighting experience for kids.
For the older kids, this station is perfect for testing their strength and endurance to scale the wall horizontally. I tried it myself with Asher and it is harder than it looks.
Don’t we all love obstacle courses?
This is the first attraction you will see upon entering the centre and the most popular one with a long queue. Best enjoyed in a large group so you can ramp everyone around.
This was our favourite station. It is basically just a whole area filled with an enormous lime-green bean bag. It was relaxing and therapeutic to just dive in, lie there and do nothing.
Kids love ball pits and if you combine an interactive game around it where you can score points by flinging the balls at the wall, they can go at it for hours.
Which kid doesn’t like bubbles?
There are many more other stations available. If you are interested to visit, tickets are available online via SISTIC from $32 to $36 per ticket (note that the ticket price is the same for adults and children).
