Ahead of the Chinese New Year, The LEGO Group reveals two new Chinese Traditional Festival LEGO sets to inspire families to discover the cultural heritage and stories behind the festive celebrations.
The Lunar New Year Traditions celebrates six different activities of the festive occasion with six brick-built scenes packed with authentic details.
These include Spring Festival Shopping, making auspicious decorations, visiting family and exchanging red packets. Each module corresponds to a set of Chinese New Year pictures to help children learn Chinese customs through play.
This set shows the joyful scene of a Spring Festival Ice Skating Park where children celebrate the Chinese New Year with various winter activities in a beautiful ice and snow scene, such as skating on the lake, playing hockey, sledding with penguins and taking photos in a pavilion.
As an added surprise, a tiger minifigure is also included in the set to mark the Year of the Tiger in 2022.
To celebrate the Year of the Tiger, the 3-in-1 Majestic Tiger offers versatile play experiences for families. It can be rebuilt into a cute red panda that sleeps in trees and munches on bamboo, a koi fish swimming through lakes, or can be left up to one’s imagination to create a new animal.
The above sets are available at LEGO Certified Stores (LCS), LEGO Official Store on Lazada, Shopee, Amazon, as well as major retailers and department stores in Singapore.
Between 3 January and 13 February, LCS shoppers who purchase LEGO products with a total worth of SGD108 can receive the limited-edition Gift with Purchase 40491 LEGO Year of the Tiger, which continues the brand’s Chinese Zodiac series.
Between 3 January and 28 February, a purchase of at least SGD68 worth of products across all themes will also entitle shoppers to redeem a red packet with SGD8 voucher as well as a polybag 30545 Build Your Own Fish. Shoppers can redeem this LEGO voucher with no minimum spend within the same period too.
Between 1 and 28 February, all LCS shoppers with a purchase of at least SGD275 worth of LEGO products will receive an exclusive Gift with Purchase 40532 Taxi Modulaire.
Also, enjoy 20% off the LEGO City and LEGO Friends sets across all retail platforms from 3 January – 28 February 2022.
