Marks & Spencer: Fresh New Look for Wheelock Place Flagship and new pop-up at 313@Somerset

Marks & Spencer (M&S), the iconic British retailer, has relaunched its Wheelock Place outlet and opens a new store at 313@Somerset seeking to present a wider and better range of clothing, food and home products in Singapore.

The revamped Wheelock Place outlet now offers a contemporary look and feel, with the interiors designed around an optimised shopping experience.

The store’s design showcases the very best of the British brand: over 3,800 premium food products including its top-sellers and all-time favourites in addition to over 1,000 chilled food products as well as fresh fruits and vegetables; a full range of home products and the much- loved clothing range.

As part of its ongoing expansion strategy in Singapore, M&S has also opened a 6-month pop-up at 313@Somerset further along the Orchard Road shopping stretch. Spread over two floors, the new 6,669 square feet store features a wide range of convenient options for customers such as ambient and frozen food as well as beer, wine and spirits. Shoppers dropping into M&S Vivo City will be treated to a refreshed new look as well, as modernisation works have also been recently completed.

To celebrate the openings, shoppers will receive a free Limited-Edition Marks & Spencer Tote Bag, specially designed by the local artist, Tiffany Lovage, with a minimum of 0 nett spend in a single receipt at Wheelock Place and Vivo City stores from 10 September onwards.

M&S Food Hall

The new 8,000 square feet Food Hall at M&S Wheelock Place is its biggest ever in Singapore. On top of the regular M&S favourites, this revamped space offers an added selection of over 500 new chilled lines focusing on cheeses, deli, fruits, yogurt and fresh vegetables. Over 3,800 food products are now available in-store, including:

• M&S’ popular chilled prepared meals inspired by popular world cuisines such as Indian, Chinese and Italian as well as staples like pasta, rice and noodles;
• British favourites including Scottish Smoked Salmon, Beef & Lamb expertly sourced for M&S from farms in New Zealand, Cheddar Cheese, Shortbread, Scones and Crumpets;
• A new cheese barge will also showcase the retailer’s cheese selection, with new and improved cheeses handpicked from Europe’s best cheesemakers and added to the existing range, including Marmite Cream Cheese, Luxury Smoked Cheese and Bavarian Smoked Cheese.

M&S’ popular in-store bakery and coffee bar will serve up a selection of coffees and teas alongside breads freshly baked on-site every day, as well as a selection of pastries, shortbreads, scones, pies and cookies. If you are looking for healthier alternatives, the wellness department offers plant-based products from M&S’ Plant Kitchen and Organic ranges as well as Gluten-Free options.

Everyone’s favourite character, Percy Pig, will also introduce an all-new partyware range that includes plates, cups, straws and napkins. Deck the party with Colin Caterpillar bakes and gums, as well as Percy Pig biscuits, confectionaries, dessert sauce, sprinkles and even a phizzy pop to get the party started.

Dine-in or take-out, customers can drop into M&S Café, at Wheelock Place, perfect for enjoying as a full meal or a tea-time break.

M&S Homeware

Featuring a cosy home furnishing section, makeover your bedroom with bedding sets featuring vibrant prints, or keep things low-key with serene neutrals, while the home fragrance range of scented candles and aromatic reed diffusers instantly uplift a room with M&S Homeware.

When it comes to tableware, make mealtimes a chic affair with basics – plates, bowls, mugs – in classic white porcelain, then add character to your settings with patterned crockery, or try mixing and matching colours if you prefer an eclectic look.

This season, you can choose from timeless wardrobe staples like the cotton floral midi tiered dress to trendy style pieces including the linen blend printed shift dress.
