TikTok announces its collaboration with SG Government, under the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI), to bring the national #IGotMyShotSG campaign targeted at youths and young adults onto its platform, to encourage users in Singapore to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The partnership is part of the platform’s TikTok for Good efforts in support of Singapore’s nationwide vaccination drive, and to provide a safe online space for users to gather trusted information about the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination programme.
TikTok is encouraging its community in Singapore to take a shot at becoming a ‘COVID SLAYER’ with the government’s vaccine education campaign, #IGotMyShotSG.
The SG government website has also introduced its first-ever Gamified Branded Effect, where users can have fun challenging other users to determine the best ‘COVID SLAYER’. The game also creatively weaved in bite-sized vaccine-related facts to encourage users to get vaccinated. This Gamified Branded Effect is available on the TikTok trending effects panel, where users can find a range of effects to inspire their creativity as they share their personal vaccination experiences.
Users can participate using the hashtag #IGotMyShotSG and view vaccine-related videos from the broader TikTok community on the app’s Discover page.
This not only fosters a sense of community through shared COVID-19 vaccination experiences, but also addresses users’ questions around COVID-19 vaccines.
This 22 July, TikTok Singapore will be hosting a finale LIVE panel titled ‘Vaccinate Without Fear’ graced by the Minister for Health, Mr. Ong Ye Kung.
Hosted by TikTok creator Mr. Fauzi Aziz, the panel will also feature Professor Vernon Lee, Senior Director, Communicable Diseases Division, Ms. Quek Shu Hui, spin instructor and COVID-19 survivor, and Mr. Shahrizal Salleh (“Chef Bob”), chef and TikTok creator.
They will come together to discuss Singapore’s plan to accelerate testing, tracing and vaccination in our next phase of fight against COVID-19 and address how everyone can carry on with their lives in this new normal.
To tune in to the live panel on TikTok, visit @tiktoksg on 22 July (8PM SGT).
TikTok launches an in-app COVID-19 vaccine information hub to provide our community with access to trusted and reliable information from the Ministry of Health. This hub can be accessed in-app via Search from the Discover page, as well as banners on videos related to COVID-19 vaccines.
Featuring answers to common questions about the vaccines and informative content from trusted public health organisations and experts, the COVID-19 vaccine information hub is part of TikTok’s commitment to combat any vaccine-related misinformation that could cause harm to an individual’s health or to public safety.
From 30 July, the TikTok community will have another way to continue rallying their friends, family and loved ones to stay safe against COVID-19, through Temasek Foundation’s first-ever hashtag challenge on TikTok, #FlexYourVax.
Users are encouraged to share their vaccination journeys with specially curated interactive filters that help open up new, unique and meaningful possibilities for storytelling.
