Nasi Lemak Burger anyone? Try the Rasa Sayang Burg by Quorn x VeganBurg

This Hari Raya, meat substitute brand Quorn has teamed up with VeganBurg, the world’s first 100% plant-based burger joint to unveil a new and improved version of its popular Rasa Sayang Burg – now featuring a Quorn meat-free patty.

The new seasonal special is now available from the first day of Ramadan – 12 April 2021 until 20 July 2021, and makes for a sumptuous and healthy iftar feast.

Balancing taste and sustainability, the 100% plant-based burger features Quorn’s meat-free burger patty made from mycoprotein – a protein source that is high in protein and fibre, and low in saturated fat. Paired with a vegan sunny-side up egg, the burger is topped with fresh cucumber slices, a dollop of kampong sambal sauce, caramelised onions, vegan aioli, all sitting on a bed of crunchy lettuce and sandwiched between a wholemeal bun.

We tried it and found it interesting to be tasting the full flavours of a satisfying Nasi Lemak meal through a burger constructed fully out of plant-based ingredients.

The Rasa Sayang Burg is available for $13.90 ala-carte, or top it up at $6.90 for a set with a vegan Rose Bandung drink and Coconut Fries. Complete the experience with a chocolate-coated Chendol Popsicle at $4.90 with every Rasa Sayang meal purchase, or ala-carte at $5.90.
