Air purifier with comprehensive features: ECOM Mask EK 030+

4-in-1 filtration system

The air purifier features a 4-in-1 filtration system that is designed to filter out pollutants and odor, giving you clean air for your living space.

The primary filter is an antibacterial nano premium filter that filters pollutants of larger diameter such as hair, pet fur, dust, pollen, and spores. Cleansing the air of these pollutants can help with allergies and sinus problems. Having this first layer of filtering also prolongs the lifespan of the (more expensive) HEPA filter inside, which will filter the finer particles.

The next layer is Ecom’s proprietary CIO2 filter. This device provides sustained release of CIO2, which according to Ecom, destroys 99.99% of pollutants, formaldehydes, molds and mildew. It continues to work even when the machine is turned off to provide 24/7 protection.

The third layer is the High-efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) platinum filter. Compared to the industry norm of 6 metres or less, the one used in the ECOM Mask 030+ is a whopping 12 metres when stretched out! Just imagine all the pollutants that will get trapped in this super dense filter, leaving us with cleansed, pure air to breath in.

The fourth layer is a negative ion generator, which is an optional function that you can switch on or off.

The front load 8-fan wheels provides fast clean air delivery at 850m3/hr over 1000sqft. It is also very quiet at 25db.  

Design features we like

Large Screen Display

You can check the precise PM2.5 recording, humidity, temperature, and exact number of days for filter change on the large screen. The display screen will also show different colours (green, yellow or red) according to the air quality- an intuitive design feature that will alert us to the air quality at a glance.

Slim and compact, yet powerful for large spaces

We like the slim and flattish design which makes it unobtrusive when positioned near the wall. If you prefer, the unit can also be mounted on the wall to save even more space. While slim in design, it is powerful enough to cover an area of 1,000 square feet, equivalent to a 4-room HDB flat.

Nifty one-touch pop up remote that fits neatly within the body of the ECOM Mask EK 030+.  You can use choose to use the remote or the sensor touch buttons on the air purifier itself.

Doubles Up as humidifier and aroma diffuser

Besides giving clean air, the ECOM Mask EK 030+ is also a humidifier and aroma diffuser. Talk about all-in-one! Just add water into the unit’s water tank and a few drops of your favorite essential oils.  

You may be thinking, Singapore is already so humid, why would I need a humidifier? Well, perhaps when you use the air-con which makes the air very drying for the skin.

There is a smart humidification function where the humidifier will switch on automatically when the surrounding is <45% humidity, and switch off when humidity >50%.

Rental scheme

You can rent ECOM Mask EK 030+ at S$70 a month, for a minimum period of three months. The best thing is, a new unit is provided for each rental! Should you like, you will also have the option to purchase the unit after the rental period.

We think this rental option is especially useful if you need more time to decide whether to invest in one. It is also especially timely for the upcoming Chinese New Year period when we have guests over!
