Singapore, 4 December 2020 – Huawei today announced the arrival of its latest revolutionary flagship smartphone, the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro, in Singapore. Launched globally in October, the HUAWEI Mate 40 Series empowers users to leap further ahead with its powerful performance and ground-breaking innovation.
Powered by the Kirin 9000 flagship SoC, which incorporates the world’s first and most sophisticated 5nm 5G SoC to date, the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro is fully equipped for 5G and capable of multi-tasking.
The phone also packs the revolutionary Ultra Vision Cine Camera system co-engineered with Leica that is capable of taking high quality photos and videos easily. The camera module is housed in an all-new Space Ring Design on the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro which takes inspiration from the Event Horizon phenomena, making it recognizable from afar.

The HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro runs on the latest Android 10 and EMUI 11.0 operating system which offers an all-new user experience making multi-tasking, multi-screen collaboration and intelligent interaction simple and intuitive. The HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro is also pre-installed with Huawei’s official app distribution platform, AppGallery that offers a growing selection of mobile apps for users to enjoy.
The exclusive HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro will be available in limited quantities in two colour variants: Mystic Silver and Black from 12 December at a retail price of S$1,598.
Customers can get their hands on the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro at all Huawei Concept Stores, major telecommunication operators M1, Singtel, Starhub; consumer electronic stores (available online only) including Best Denki, Challenger & Hachi.tech, Courts, Harvey Norman, Sprint-Cass and Huawei official online stores in Lazada and Shopee.
Customers will also receive a HUAWEI SuperCharge Wireless Stand (40W) worth S$148 with every purchase, while stocks last.

TraceTogether is the latest addition to Huawei AppGallery, following other top Singapore apps such as UOB, DBS, POSB, ComfortDelGro, TADA and RYDE. Users can also download TraceTogether using Petal Search, Huawei’s search tool designed to connect users to more apps from and outside of AppGallery. Huawei smartphone users are encouraged to download, set up their profile and use the app to be part of a larger community committed to stopping the spread of COVID-19.
Due to the US trade ban, HUAWEI phones no longer uses Google’s apps and services but are powered using HUAWEI Mobile Services (HMS) instead.
