Workshops

Challenge yourself this festive period by attending a workshop that pushes you towards understanding the importance of inclusivity in our society.

See people with disabilities in a different light when you experience the simplest of daily activities differently when you partake in this interactive online programme. Known as “Spotlight on the Blind”, improve your understanding of a visually-impaired person through engaging activities and the sharing of experiences by blind facilitators as you learn more about their lives and debunk stereotypes. Ran by Dialogue in the Dark Singapore, this programme will run for 1.5 hours and registration is free.

Understanding deafness is another small step towards creating a more inclusive society. The Deaf Awareness Programme (DAP) by Singapore Association for the Deaf seeks to bridge the gap with the wider community through their hour-long session at $15 per pax where they will cover topics like sign language, deaf culture and people, as well as communication and accessibility issues faced by the Deaf.

Dabble in the art of decoupage at a workshop hosted by My Art Piece where you can create a one-of-a-kind glass plate or burlap tote for $60 or $80. If scarves are more your thing, Binary Style will help you achieve just that with a Design your own Singapore scarf workshop that will leave you with two digitally printed silk scarves for $220.
