Mind-boggled and dizzy with all the deals? Our gifting guide can help. We cover items to meet different needs and wants.

For the audiophiles

HUAWEI FreeBuds 3, HUAWEI FreeBuds 3i and HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro are all true wireless in-ear headphones and feature active noise cancellation (ANC) to block out ambient noise. They are also lightweight and comfortable to wear.

HUAWEI FreeBuds 3

1 / 6

Released in Singapore in late 2019. HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 has an open-fit design- it doesn’t come with silicone ear tips to secure the earbuds in your ear canals. Nonetheless, the FreeBuds 3 is very comfortable to wear and feels secure even when I jog.

Perhaps due to its open-fit design, it does not block out ambient noise as much as I would have liked. I could still hear my neighbor’s renovation works quite clearly even with the ambient noise reduction set to maximum.

HUAWEI FreeBuds 3i

Released in Singapore in mid-2020, the FreeBuds 3i uses silicone ear tips instead of the FreeBuds 3’s open-fit design. The silicone ear tips come in four sizes for you to find your perfect fit. At 5.4g each earbud, it is slightly heavier than the FreeBuds 3 (4.5g each earbud), but the difference was not perceivable to me. I found both versions similarly comfortable to wear.

That said, its ANC performance is better, perhaps due to its more snug fit.

HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro

Departing from the rounded aesthetics of the Freebuds 3 and Freebuds 3i, the latest FreeBuds Pro comes in a striking rectangular stem design.

It also offers the best noise-canceling performance of the lot with the world’s first intelligent dynamic noise cancellation experience where you can optimize the audio quality based on different environment scenarios. It has a noise cancellation rating of 40dB which is an industry-leading figure. Pairing it with a Huawei smartphone offers the most seamless and capabilities-maximizing experience.

You can grab the HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro at a special price of $228 instead of its original retail price of $238 by pre-ordering before 10 November to enjoy $96 worth of free gifts.

HUAWEI Watch GT 2e

For the sporty or wannabe sporty ones

4 / 8

HUAWEI Watch GT2e features a 1.39-inch AMOLED touchscreen with excellent display colours. The watch display turns on with a turn of the wrist. The silicon strap with circular cutouts for breathability gives a rugged look and can withstand the intensities of sporting activities. It comes in red and green, with the Lava Red especially striking.

Link the watch to your smartphone using the Huawei Health app. The app is where you will be able to see all the data that is synced from your watch as well as choose from a variety of watch face designs available.

It’s okay if you don’t use a HUAWEI smartphone, the Huawei Health app is available on other Android smartphones and iPhones as well. However, non-Huawei devices will be limited in certain functions.

In the fitness watch market saturated with offerings from Apple, Samsung, Garmin and Fitbit, the HUAWEI Watch GT2e particularly stands out in the value for money aspect.

HUAWEI MateBooks & HUAWEI MatePad Pro

As part of the Huawei smart ecosystem, the MateBooks and the MatePad Pro can be synced with other Huawei devices, including smartphones (running EMUI 10 and higher) and smartwatches such as the Watch GT2e reviewed above.

They are good options, especially if you already own other Huawei devices because you can then make use of the Huawei Share Multi-Screen Collaboration feature that allows you to control multiple connected devices on a single display. Do drag-and-drop file transfer, peripheral sharing, shared clipboard, and more. For instance, you can use the laptop or tablet’s larger screen and keyboard to answer messages or edit photos from the phone.

HUAWEI MateBook 13

For those looking for a portable laptop

HUAWEI MateBook 13  is lean and compact at 1.3kg, 13 inches across and at 14.9mm thin, it is barely thicker than an actual notepad. One standout feature is the touchscreen which is responsive and intuitive.

Travel light with the lightweight power adapter. Rated 65W, the compact charger not only tops up your HUAWEI MateBook 13 quickly, but it also supports HUAWEI Quick Charge and HUAWEI SuperCharge for certain phones, depending on whether the handset you’re charging supports the feature.

hUAWEI MatePad Pro

For those who need work or entertainment on the go. Especially useful for those who like to take notes by writing.

6 / 8

The HUAWEI MatePad Pro has a  screen-to-body ratio of 90%. With a screen this big, it’s hard to resist the temptation to just lay back and enjoy a TV show.

Using the HUAWEI M-Pencil stylus to write on screen felt as natural as using pen on paper. You can vary the pressure for a thicker or finer line. It is also highly responsive with no noticeable input lag. The MatePad Pro also comes preloaded with the powerful Nebo note-taking app that provides useful shortcuts for formatting and organizing notes.

The stylus can be charged wirelessly by attaching it magnetically to the top of the tablet.

HUAWEI Mate Xs

For those looking to make jaws drop

7 / 10

A definite conversation starter and a splurge item with a price tag nearing $4k. The looks of amazement you collect when you unfold this smartphone to its full 8-inch screen glory may make it money well-spent.

Did you know that its folding screen is made using an aerospace-grade optical polyimide material that is three times the price of gold by weight?

The huge screen is great for reading e-books, admiring breath-taking scenery, thrilling wide shots and comprehensive infographics. No more squinting is needed.

See our guide on how to optimize your HUAWEI experience without Google services.  Workarounds include using Huawei’s Phone Clone app to migrate apps from an existing device or use unofficial third-party app store (e.g. APKPure) to download apps you can’t find on Huawei.
